So convenient
I’ve had several chicken waterers, and this one works the best. The two things I like the most is its large capacity, and its open water tray. I’ve tried the gravity cups, they work ok, but we live in Wisconsin and once fall comes, I have drain them and use a heated dog bowl which entails filling it at least once a day, sometimes twice. So far we’ve had about three weeks total of below freezing, and this thing has held up like a champ. If I don’t update this post, that means it kept the water from freezing all winter, even during the 10 below and colder days.

No Ice!
This has kept water in a liquid state in single digit temps for my 7 hens. It's also large enough to last them 3 days or more. One thing to note, while you can twist the basin, be sure the outlet hole and the cut out line up or water wont drain out. You will also want it on a level surface for best results

difficult to fill otherwise great
I love the volume of water and the fact that it heats up. However I expected it to be fillable from the top and it is not which means carrying it around and it is very heavy when full

ICE!!
This thing is a piece of garbage. Haven't even seen real cold yet and it freezes constantly. Also terrible design for filling. Flip it upside down to fill it, get it full flip back over. Pick up by handle and if you turn your wrist at all while setting it in the coop the bottom falls off and water goes every where. Biggest waste of money to date on these chickens.

PAY ATTENTION TO TAB PLACEMENT
My chickens almost died this morning, all because there are no indicators on where you're supposed to screw in the top and bottom piece. It is -6°, so hanging out after flipping it rightside up wasn't going to happen. I had filled it with water 2 days ago and place it in the coop in the evening. Because you have to fill the bottom tank and then screw the top on the top it is nearly impossible to see the tab placement. There are cut outs that need to be lined up with the cut outs on the lid in order for the water to flow. They were not lined up, so no water was flowing to the the bottom trough. I put permanent marker on the tank to make it obvious, but obviously will be double checking in the future.

Perfect for very cold climates!!
This product is a life saver if you live in a very cold climate!! It keeps the chickens water thawed and we do not have to replace their water multiple times a day due to it freezing. It holds a lot of water so we only have to refill it every couple of days! Amazing for the price. No complaints.

Doesn’t really allow that much water in the tray.
Bought this product in plenty of time before the cold weather, but by the time I used it, I was disappointed in the amount of water the tray holds and still freeezes some around the rim. No say too late for return.Do not recommend
