Exactly what I needed!
I recently fell on ice and broke my fibula...I knew I'd be in one of these once I was out of the hard cast and boot (I'd broken my other fibula several years ago), so I went ahead and ordered it. So glad I did! The same one from the ortho doctor was $125 (my insurance has a deductible on DME)! Anyway, this is working perfectly. For those that say you can "never get it to fit correctly" - you have to remember that the part that goes under your foot is adjustable. Once you get that right, it will be comfortable and supported. I love that it can also be chilled in the fridge or freezer to deal with any swelling. This would be excellent for treating a sprain. It fits in to both my hiking shoes and my sneakers....it will stretch them out eventually, so I purchased an extra pair of sneakers so I don't stretch out my good ones. This thing is a real ankle saver!

When an ankle brace is needed, get a good one.
I need to have good support for my ankle and am so glad I found this one! It is so easy to use and wear all day, being sturdy and flexible both. I just walk naturally, and it holds my ankle in line, flexes when taking a step and erases the pain. Easy to put on, easy to tighten or loosen as needed. And yes, it can be worn wearing a shoe.

Works great...but there are questions.
Bought for my daughter. She felt immediate relief from her sprain. What is the hose for? I assume to inflate or deflate the air cells? No instructions on why the hose is included. Why is there gel in the air cells?

After not much use, won't stay inflated
Works will for a couple weeks. Now it deflates completely within a few hours.

Air Splint
After using one of these for a horribly torn ankle ligament, that helped it heal tighter & stronger, I bought another of these (years later) for my edema ankle. However, didn't realize that even w/ compression hose, it would leave 'pit' areas on my lower leg, so cannot use it. Otherwise, this is great to wear inside shoes, esp. looser tennis shoes that can be left loosely laced & yet give great support to immobilize the ankle while it heals. My dr. at the time told me if I didn't keep the ankle still, he would have to go in and cut the ligaments & re-stitch tighter if the brace didn't work. That ankle is super-strong now, though my other one can't be fixed due to the edema. GREAT product for the cost & ability to do a good job.

It's the best
I had on my ankle 4 years ago. And now the pain is back. I absolutely will not have surgery again! The air cast really helps with my pain and discomfort. It's the best!!

Good stability and comfort—
The Air-Stirrup definitely provides stability and support for my sprained ankle. I am wearing it indoors as much as possible. I am editing this, because I previously wrote that it was impossible to get a shoe on when wearing the AirCast. We subsequently discovered that a small adjustment allows me to pull the cast up far enough that I can get my foot into a sneaker and even some sandals. Now that I've figured this out, I can wear it both inside and outside. I think it will be helpful on an upcoming trip. One "con" is that the instructions are written in a .5 size font, fine for teenagers, not so much for over-forties. For getting around the house for a few days until my ankle (I hope) improves, it's a good solution, and not terribly pricey.

This was recommended to me by my physio following rolling my ankle causing a hairline fracture and a particularly bad sprain. As part of my job I go over fields and uneven terrain. I needed to get back to work before it was fully healed so I've used this for stabilisation. It still allows the forward and backward flexing of my foot, but prevents the sideways rolling I'm now prone to until my ankle is fully healed. It's also adjustable to suit different widths of feet and the air pockets are also adjustable, allowing air to the increased or deceased. I've worn this with trainers for gym work and boots for work with no issues.

It’s easy to use and perfect for immobilizing the ankle. The glue used inside for sticking the soft pad to the plastic brace is not great. Came off in a week. But I could stick the pad with a double sided tape.

Das Band, dass unter den Fuß kommt, hielt nach 2 Tagen bereits nicht mehr und rutschte vom Klett. Support beim Verkäufer leider sehr träge und nicht hilfreich.
