With any natural shampoo, you need to know how to properly wash your hair to get the best benefits. Natural shampoos don’t contain emulsifying and foaming agents. I outline the right way to shampoo your hair below, but first, my experience: I have medium fine hair and an oily top with normal ends. I developed an allergy to I believe propylene glycol in my other shampoo and had a very burnt/itchy scalp and hair loss. I searched for hours for a good natural shampoo. I tried Rahua which was fantastic, but SO expensive. Decided to try this one! I wouldn’t recommend for dry hair and would recommend using a conditioner if you have long hair, but great for greasy gals like me! It works so well at breaking up greasiness and left my hair so clean! The photo is next day after sleeping on it wet and air drying. Couldn’t believe the feel, volume, and natural shine. If you need a natural shampoo and are oily and flaky, this is your shampoo. Not to mention how amazing it smells! No fragrances, just natural extracts. If you like orange anything, you’ll like this. HOW TO SHAMPOO RIGHT: 1. Make sure all of your hair is soaked, like super wet. 2. Rub a quarter size amount of shampoo between your hands till it turns white. 3. Apply to your head focusing more on the scalp, and apply in layered sections of you have thick hair. 4. Let it sit for 1-3 minutes (do your other washing/shaving) and then rinse out. 5. Repeat the process (yes, always wash twice!) the second wash will foam up dramatically compared to the first. 6. Let sit 1-3 minutes and wash out thoroughly with cooler water. When you go from using a cheaper shampoo to a nice natural one, you’ll notice a difference. Many complain that they don’t “foam up” but that’s because the first wash is breaking up all the gunk on your head, and the second wash is actually washing! Do yourself and your health a favor, and get acure shampoo!

I love this shampoo! Feels great on my hair. I’m an oily scalp/dry ends type. This stuff gets my hair clean! I love the scent, a very tolerable subtle scent & that is appealing. My hair feels clean after each use & is rejuvenated. My hair goes from oily, limp & dull to shiny, soft, fluffy, manageable & healthy. :) love love love it. The only con with this shampoo is that it lacks a lather, so a double wash is needed to really get a good lather in. However, that is expected with a “clean” shampoo like Acure. I don’t mind a double wash & it’s doable, so there’s that. Overall, one of the best “clean” shampoos on the market! Give it a try!

I’ve been on the hunt for an affordable yet gentle and clean shampoo for my fragile bleached blonde hair. Granted, I’ve only used this once so far but am already seeing some amazing results. It effectively cleanses my hair without making it feel stripped and dry. It smells nice and lathered well considering it doesn’t have harsh detergents. I paired this shampoo with Acure's simply smoothing conditioner and my hair felt so nice after coming out of the shower that I ALMOST didn’t need a leave in conditioner. Another plus is the next day I skipped washing my hair (I wash my hair 3-4 times a week) and my hair still felt very fresh and not at all greasy. I’m excited to see how my hair feels and looks with continued use.

This is good stuff —works well after heavy sweat days to remove excess oil and build-up. The scent is more citrusy and less watermelon—sort of like a sweet grapefruit scent—it’s nice. My only beef is this shampoo is the runniest shampoo I’ve ever used, basically like water. It’s hard to control how much comes out of the tube (you don’t need to squeeze it, it’ll just pour out) and often runs off my hand before I get it in my hair—so there’s some waste—but at least the shampoo is inexpensive.

I accidentally came across Acure when I bought body wash at a local store. It was a clean product line which is important to me and smelled great. I quickly knew I had to explore other products. I need a shampoo that's good for daily use and this has worked great on my hair. It lathers and cleanses well and this scent smells amazing! I also use the conditioner and will continue to buy both along with the body wash.

I have purchased this shampoo three times from Amazon. The first two were great, worked very well and smelled good. The third time, it appears they have changed the formula. It is thicker, a darker color and doesn’t smell as good or lather well. I will not purchase again.

I hate buying this stuff online, but I took a chance with Acure and I’m happy that I did. I have a lot of thin hair that’s pretty long. I’m prone to greasy roots. I like how this stuff smells and has done the best job keeping my hair supple, not greasy and shiny. I feel like it has just the right amount of moisture and my hair feels soft over a couple days. As other reviews state, it does take a bit to lather, but when this is the case, I wash again second time which lathers much better. The conditioner is perfect too

Acure PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE change this back to the original formula!!! I've used this shampoo for years and it *was* the only thing that worked for my super greasy hair and sensitive skin. The original formula (in the old orange bottles) was perfect because it got rid of all the oil in my hair but didn't dry out my scalp. I had no dandruff and no frizz. My hair was the healthiest it had ever been. But then.. They changed the formula recently when they changed the bottle and it's not the same anymore. I know they claim it's "the same formula", it's not. I know this because when I tried the new bottle I noticed that: - the texture was different (very gooey) - it doesn't remove the oil from my hair no matter how much shampoo I put in - my hair is frizzy now - suddenly I have dandruff After I tried the new bottle I thought "well it could be something else affecting my hair". But when I ordered it again, I recieved an old orange bottle instead of a new one. Suddenly my hair was perfectly fine and healthy again! After I used up that bottle, the next bottle I got was the new one. And my hair went BACK to being too oily and frizzy and my dandruff came back. It's definitely disappointing especially since the price went up as well. It's now double the price and awful to use. I really want the old formula back. Even if it's more expensive, I would pay for it. I just want my hair to feel good again.

Great and light product for the hair for daily wash after working out in the gym...have slight scent but so gentle on the hair ...highly recommended
