This thumb brace is excellent. I bought a right thumb brace in 2024 and is has never failed me. I’ve recently started using when I do water aerobics and it has helped relieve the pain I would have with my water dumbbells. I also use while on my laptop. Very lightweight so not cumbersome.

I've been wearing a thumb brace for a while and have purchased several over the years. In the past I've been let down from time to time with other braces so I was very reluctant to purchase this one due to the price. I was surprised to find that this brace has a frim plastic band that goes across the palm. If you've never worn a brace before you might not understand the importance of this because it helps keep your thumb back even with the rest of your hand. None of the other braces did this, so I could put my hand flat (like on a table). My thumb was sore for the first day but it was fine by day two. I assume that this was due to the brace holding my thumb back where it actually belongs. I know that the price tag is a bit high so if you only occasionally are in need of a little extra support I think the $40 braces will work for you just fine but if you're like me and need to wear one pretty much all of the time I would recommend getting this brace for its additional support 😊

Shocked - wore this brace overnight and the next day I could already tell a difference. I was completely skeptical prior to this purchase but I’m sold! Went from waking up with toothache pain in my thumb joint and pain all day on and off sharpe aw week to mild stiffness and no stabbing pain. I’m only on day 3 and still great. I give this a 9/10 so far. Only change for me would be the leather straps on the back of the hand. They make me sweat. Would rather have fabric but that’s a minor thing. I am considering strongly buying one for my other hand.

As a chiropractor with extreme thumb pain in my dominant hand, I needed a brace that would calm the pain and assist in reducing the inflammation in order to help me practice and avoid surgery. After 30 years in practice, I developed severe CMC degeneration with complete chondral loss (bone on bone). Initially, this brace seemed to give some relief, but at other times the pain seemed more intense. Ironicly, I had also purchased (via Amazon) another CMC brace that looked, felt & supported the CMC joint in the same manner as the PUSH brace for only $39.99. The less expensive brace actually give ME more sustained relief and to date, has not increased my discomfort. I'm not telling you to stay away from the one & opt for the less expensive brace, bc everyone's conditions are different, but for me, the other brace worked better for pain relief and functionality. Keep in mind, that this brace is a very high quality brace, it just wasn't the one for me. All the best.

Once you fit it to your hand you’ll forget you even wearing it. This is my 2nd one because the Velcro wore out after a years use, due to my job. I like how this small brace helps my thumb and allows me to use my full hand.

My physical therapist recommended this product, but I have found a huge flaw with it that may soon make it ineffective. The unit secures on your thumb via the use of two velcro bands glued and stitched to plastic piece your thumb goes into. These two strips pass through two very narrow openings in the plastic piece. If you allow the two bands to slip out of the two very narrow openings in the plastic piece a few times, the ends of the velcro bands become frayed and will no longer pass through the two very narrow openings in the plastic piece. This will make my unit useless. The manufacturer could have simply made the two very narrow openings in the plastic piece wider so that the velcro bands would pass through the openings with greater ease. Ok, you might say, "Well don't let the bands slip out of the openings!" If you have one of these units you will realize it's very easy for the bands to slip out of the openings. Of course, the company was cheap in making the bands much too short. Were they longer, then the likelihood of them slipping out of the openings would be far reduced. Simple solutions not obvious to the creators of this unit. When will they learn?

Super impressed with this product. I experienced a very noticeable improvement in my painful CMC joint condition in a matter of just a few days and it keeps getting better with each passing day. After much research I decided to spend the extra money for this more highly rated brace and I'm glad I did. Based on other reviews, I also purchased a hand compression gauntlet to protect my skin. Not too tight, the idea is not to double compress the joint, only have a buffer between the brace and the skin. Great move. I have no problems with skin irritation. I fit the brace properly without pulling the straps too tight. Very comfortable. I don't even think about it when it's on. Highly recommend this product.

Pros: worth the cost. Simply put the design of this brace is what works for me. I have a lot of pain at the base of my thumb. Cant even open the fridge door without pain. This allows me to do that. It hits my palm on all the rights spots. Its not bulky. I can drive with it and cant even tell its on at times. My hand is mostly uncovered which I like the most. Other braces its like having a milk carton on your hand with your fingers sticking out. Not ok if you cook clean and paint like I do. I have also slipped on plastic glove over the brace so i can cook with it and not worry about getting it wet. Cons: this should come with extra velcro for this price. Dont get it wet because in my opinion it wont last. The part that hits the web of the palm is tight and hurts when it rubs.... which is whenever you move your hand. I will be glueing a piece of silicone there for some added cushion and comfort. Lastly what works for me is to tighten the strap closest the wrist and keep the strap next to the web of your thumb and index finger very loose. This allows for more mobility without pain. If you dab some type of vasaline there it also helps with friction burns. Make sure to keep the brace clean if you do that. All in all im very glad I bought it. Just needs some updated comfort features and additional straps
