This bed is a lot firmer than we're used to, but it only took a few nights to get used to it. We slept on one at a friend's house and had a good night's sleep, so when I got home, I put this in my Amazon Cart. Fast forward 2 or 3 years later, and when it was time for a new mattress, I made the purchase. Arrived quickly, and was easy to unpackage and place on my existing box springs. I was a little restless the first night because I was simply not used to the firmness. The second night was much better. It seems like every night after that has gotten better. I feel like it is much better for my neck and back than our old mattress (which was a high-end name brand but 12-15 years old). For a while now, I have been feeling pretty crummy every morning upon waking. I must say, I don't really have that feeling anymore, and feel much better in the morning. I feel like I'm getting much better rest at night with less tossing and turning. It's firm, but it's still comfortable and soft on the pressure areas. I would highly recommend this mattress, and I hope they continue to make it because I would like to buy another when this one gets old.

We just bought a travel trailer and replaced the memory foam mattress with the Lucid queen 8" Plush Gel Memory Foam. This mattress goes far and beyond what we expected. We have a more expensive brand for our house master bedroom and honestly, this Lucid is every bit, if not more comfortable. It is supportive and forms nicely to your body. I have lower back and hip pain. After lying on the mattress for 5 minutes my pain was gone. We are mostly side sleepers, but I could easily fall asleep on my back now. I highly recommend. You cannot beat this price.

I’m 6'4" and 225 lbs, and I was skeptical about an 8-inch mattress, but this Lucid bed has been great as a temporary setup. It’s surprisingly supportive for my size, yet plush and soft enough that a mattress topper isn't necessary. Very impressed with the comfort for the price.

After having this mattress for three years, I can genuinely say that it has treated me great I am a plus size individual, but I am the only person who sleeps in this bed. The mattress is firm enough that it doesn’t make any noise and allows me to position myself, however I want in bed. The biggest issue that I have is that it did not last and now I am getting back pain every morning when I wake up, I did turn the mattress as I used it, but both sides that I typically am laying on now have divots from where I lay. The value was well worth it I just wish that it lasted me a bit longer.

Full disclosure: I have hip dysplasia, fibromyalgia and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Hypermobility type. Sleep has always been so hard for me. My joints ache, I toss and turn....this will be the 3rd lucid bed I've gladly bought and what a dream! I purchased my first Lucid bed back when the company first began, it was a basic memory foam model but it was the best bed I had ever slept in! Unfortunately after a couple of years, my dog decided to pee on the bed, and despite getting it fairly clean, it began to go soft in the middle, obviously my dog's fault. During this time I also purchased my son the twin version of the bed, which he still has and loves/prefers over his spring coil bed at his dad's... Now here's where I made a mistake. The last bed I bought about 2.5 years ago to replace my softening lucid was a hybrid style mattress from another company - foam on top, small coils on the bottom...my thought process I guess was maybe more supportive? Won't go soft in the middle if my dog is a brat? That bed was a literal BRICK. $300 worth of mattress toppers couldn't save my aching joints. It was hard to make an investment in another bed after only a couple of years, but my body needed it. During a great deal on cyber Monday I picked up the newest 'plush' 14" memory foam bed from Lucid... FINALLY SOME RESTFUL SLEEP! No tossing and turning, no waking up with sore joints and aches in weird places and dislocated bones! It eliminates pressure points, without being too soft! It's absolutely a dream. For those of you out there suffering chronic pain - restful sleep is so important in waking up feeling more human. Do yourself the favor - you deserve to sleep!!! Your body will thank you, your wallet will get over it - this compares to tempur-pedic models I tried in store that cost upwards of 2k! Get the bed! I’m a big man, built like a WWF wrestler. Imagine The Rock with a dad bod gut. I’m a stomach and side sleeper. I’ve been on this mattress for a month now. I got the plush 14’ king size thinking it would be on super soft cloud mode. Plush is a softer medium, softer top but rightfully firm in the middle. There is no bounce to it when you slap it or elbow drop the bed. It absorbs energy, so if your sleeping next to someone you can jump out the bed harder than a Barbarian late for a raid and will not disturb the person next to you. I had 2 different spring mattress for the last 20 years and both of them every so often had my lower back HURTING and hamstrings sore when I woke up. This eliminates that issue completely. The bed conforms to your entire body. No pressure points, keeps your back straight, side straight, and it creates a nice pot hole for your gut if your sleeping on your stomach. Pretty sweet. I used to wake up often to toss and turn and to roll over. This is the first bed for the first time in 20 years I wake up in the same position I feel asleep in for an entire 7-8 hours. No aches, no soreness, no pains and I wake up feeling “aligned”. I get out the bed do alittle basic morning stretch and feel great. I’ve beat my body up from physically working too hard and old exercising injures, this is a well worth it mattress for a big man who needs real support. Now the bed does get softer over time the more you sleep on it I guess it has a long break in period, that’s the only reason I knocked a star off. So if you have back any problems, ham string tightness, feel crooked in other mattresses , in need of a supportive bed, or a big man like me who needs to be cuddled by the mattress, get this. If this was the 3 bears this ain’t mama bears bed in terms of softness, definitely no where near papas, but certainly just right. One year update: oh yeah it’s broken in, takes 6 months before you have to rotate your bed. Now this whole bed is broken in and is more comfortable than ever. It definitely is plush but it takes time. I can see this mattress lasting 10 years easy.

UPDATE: It is two weeks after delivery. The plush/soft assessment below was incorrect. The mattress had just expanded for about a 1/2 hr when I evaluated below. After settling for the afternoon it was harder and after a day was what I would call firm. It has remained that way for the two weeks I have had it. I would NOT call this a plush mattress. The foam does not allow my hips to sink in and straighten my spine, and my back is sore. I am not sure if this is a quality issue, a symptom of the latex like top layer, or this is how the manufacturer designed the mattress. The edges are easier to get in/out of bed than usual soft memory foam. They don't crush down when sitting on the edge. After two weeks, I do not like this mattress and do not recommend it both for lack of plushness/softness advertised as well as the quality issues mentioned below. From other reviews it appears if I return it they'll just refund money and then we're stuck with disposal. Not great considering this thing weighs 100 lbs. I bought a memory foam RV mattress a few years ago from Travel Happy via Amazon and it was soft as described and no quality issues. So...it is not an inherent problem with memory foam mattresses to be firm. This is an issue with this specific brand and mattress design. The delivery options have changed and they don't offer the same service level with haul away now. Very disappointing. I had such high hopes. I will start shopping for another mattress that is (actually) soft. ORIGINAL REVIEW: MATTRESS: See pictures. Quality issues with the cover. Left side is smaller/tighter than the right side. Foam expanded immediately to full height, but tight left side of cover is restricting foam expansion all the way. Mattress is very plush, as described. Maybe too plush. I did want a plush mattress though! [**See two-week update above - firmed up later] DELIVERY & INSTALL SERVICE: Amazon box truck arrived. Installers informed us that we need to remove and haul away our own mattress. They said they “never take away the old mattress.” The bed frame was required to be empty and ready for an install. They would not wait. Since we expected they would remove it, our old mattress was still on the bed frame. SO…they left the mattress at outside our front door. A 100lb box for my husband and I to handle! VERY DISAPPOINTING when the service I selected during order clearly said removal of old, install new, and haul away of old (with limited old haul away exclusions). Interesting when I look now they only offer delivery and unpack. They changed the service after I ordered it. Talk about bait and switch! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! And so I have to live with the mattress cover issue? Even if they sent a new cover this thing weighs too much to switch. Ugh!

Been about a month. Loving it so far. Soft yet supportive

Good mattress, been using it for almost 4 months now, and the shape has not collapsed at all. It’s soft as advertised but still holds its shape. Price is affordable. To date have no complaints. Delivery was prompt. It expanded to full size in 2 days, as advertised.
