This bowl is perfect for taking soup to work for lunch. This is the best size for a single serving. I can heat in the microwave and eat in this same bowl. The silicone keeps me from touching the hot glass. I have the larger bowl too. It’s great for salads and larger portions. I have many coworkers who have purchased these bowls after seeing mine.

I might have seen a creator TikTok who focuses on organization use this brand .. And then I in turn went and bought one of this brand’s containers. I rolled my eyes for a bit, because I bought some of that green drink that was trending on TikTok and it was awful (and awfully expensive.. for nothing). Admittedly, though, I love this container. The quality is fantastic, and seems great for packing lunches. Insulation is impressive for both hot and cold foods. It is very cozy and neat looking and fits easily into my lunch box and doesn’t take up a ton of space in the fridge. Weight is pleasant in the hands (if that makes sense). I can see myself building up this collection to have a uniform-looking drawer full of storage containers rather than my Rubber Maid chaos of lids and spaghetti sauce stained plastic containers. This container are on the pricey side (I dropped $25 for this one item), but the quality is well worth it in my opinion. I’ll be getting more. Highly recommend.

In part of my efforts to cook more, I'm bringing my own lunch to work more often. During busier seasons, this has resulted in me making a lot of large batches of soup or stew. I had a little plastic microwaveable cup for soup that worked fine, but it wasn't leakproof nor very easy to clean. In searching for lunch containers for soup, most of it was intended for use as a thermos and not microwave-safe, which wouldn't work with my work schedule. So I got this bowl. It's pricey, but if it was good, I'd use it just about every day, so a long-time investment. And it is good. It truly is leakproof, keeps my soup safe and reheats it well, and at the end of the day I just put it in the top rack of my dishwasher and it emerges perfectly clean. I haven't put any of my higher-chance-of-staining dishes in it yet, so I can't comment on that, but will update this if I do and it stains. I think I'll get one more of these sometime. EDIT: I did end up lightly staining the inner silicone liner with a tomato-based dish, but reduced the staining with some scrubbing. The stained silicone liner didn't retain any tomato scent so I'm not worried about it. Also, if you want this screw-top container to be truly leakproof, you need to make sure the lid is tight and sits evenly once you close it. If it's a little off-center, it's gonna leak.

Got a second one so mine wouldn't be taken. Great for hot food or just storing food until lunch. Works great with oatmeal in the microwave. Big enough to hold two pouches with no problems. The material is thick and seems durable. The pattern is enough to make different from others so you know if you got the right one and looks good.

I mainly used this container for soups, and it worked well in keeping my food secure on the go without spilling. I also really liked the color. The only downside is that it’s quite small, which made it hard to store thicker soups or larger portions. For smaller meals or thinner soups, it’s practical and reliable, but I wish it came in a larger size.

Thick glass, sturdy and seals well

own four products from W&P, and despite the higher price, I won’t buy from any other brand. The Porter Seal Tight Glass Bowl is sturdy, leakproof, and still looks brand new after long-term use. The glass is thick and durable, the silicone wrap protects it well, and it’s perfect for meal prep or travel. Quality and design easily justify the cost.

Ok! I took these pictures to show you how versatile, practical, and cute these containers are. I’m the queen of lunch boxes. I finally settled with these for 9 months now. Porter should sell the silicone insets as replacement... they are easy to clean; however, beets, carrots , squash may stain which by no mean take away from its versatility & cuteness. It just smells like food because of the removable inset. On weekends I soak the clear inset in ( a drop of bleach, dish soap, in hot water). Ladies and gents, all you do fill it up with soup or your favorite lunch... anything and toss it in your bag. No leakage! When microwaving , remove the cover or flip it....the outer silicone may stain( get black or slate) & it gets hot( use paper towel to take out ) . Get one or two... now, I have 2 slate, & 2 black... they are pricey... however, they are elegant and made of glass... keep your food authentic. Try it y’all !

Great pot, a little bigger than I thought, but well protected with a rubber base and a great seal on the lid. Will definitely be buying more.
