I was skeptical about the phone app at first, but it works like a charm. No fumbling to pair and re-pair the Bluetooth. Simply open the app, place the oximeter on your finger, and the oximeter turns on automatically. There's a timer showing how much time has elapsed and live graphs showing pulse rate and oxygen level. The history list is really nice. You can also add notes to each reading. The unit's measurements are in line with the last 3 oximeters I've had, so I would say that it is accurate. I would recommend this unit.

I bought this to check my blood oxygen level due to sudden breathing difficulties becoming more and more consistent. I have child-onset asthma (both physical and stress-induced) as well as VCD (vocal cord dysfunction). So my breathing has always had a heightened awareness in my life. So when my sudden breathing difficulties became of higher incidence and with sudden onset, I became alert of a health issue. I found out soon after, I have a heart murmer. I am a group fitness instructor of 7 years and have been leading group fitness of some sort since college. I talk during my aerobic routines. As you can tell, my cardio is decent to keep my asthma from flaring up. When my VCD flares up (due to wrongful involuntary breathing), I am aware that it was me, I was allowing a higher than normal or longer sustained aerobic level. I know to bring my heartrate down to catch my breath and get my oxygen satuaration back up. So naturally, when I'm out of breath after walking up one flight of stairs or forget the next movement within a fitness routine in the middle of a song, I want to know what is causing it, asthma or heart murmer. Why did I share that? So you can see why it's imoortant to have this little guy work fast. Please note, faster is not always better. Faster does not offer consistent, quality results. So please don't use this review to buying it for your COPD. Do not use this for your young child to monitor their exercise-indiced asthma. This monitor is perfect for someone who knows their limits, understand that the first 30 seconds of feedback might not be 100% accurate. This would be perfect for a teen who is in sports and needs to check the oxygen sats between race legs or while running cross country. It's a fast measurment to use to access if the situation poasibly needs a more credible review and if confirmed, an urgent response. I love how fast this little monitor can turn on and begin offering you immediate feedback. My previous monitor had to be pressed on and wait to enter finger until it was ready. But this little guy comes on as soon as you enter your finger and begins delivering feedback (visual heartbeats) and then produces "live" numbers within 3-4 seconds afterwards. So yes, I can have my heartrate and my Oxygen content measured and delivered within 5 seconds of inserting my finger. This is very helpful as it shows me if the rates stabilize immediately after aerobic activity has slowed or ceased. I have lung problems, so I have bought over 15 brands over the years. I even had a medical grade Nellcor Pulse ox before parts became too expensive. I like the Wellue (I have 4 for different locations) for its price, accuracy, ease of use, auto start (No need to press a button) and Bluetooth to my phone which has a continuous monitoring App. The App monitors in real time, the Oxygen level, Pulse rate, ECG graph It is accurate when I have done checks at doctors' visits and to be honest, I think most Pulse-ox are. I can use the App to tell me how I'm doing throughout the day and even at night. The unit does not clamp down so hard to be uncomfortable for long periods and sometimes (not always) I have had to use a piece of self-adhesive wrap to hold it on my finger. I'm no doctor but I have found from my extensive use is that the accuracy can vary from unit used, which finger used (especially if you have Raynaud's[me] or other restrictive blood disease beside the lung restrictions[me] that it is mainly used for, all at the same time. I use my index or middle finger and wait for the highest reading or if the reading is stable, that is my oxygen level

I use it to take my oxygen level 3 times a day. And this oxymeter can update the reading via Bluetooth to the App provided by the manufacturer. The record can be retrieved for evaluation by my doctor. At the same time there is graphic display of the pulses. One improvement can be done is to allow the display to oriented in different direction. Preferably thevoxumeter should be attached to the finger on the left hand.

Bought this as husband dropping his sats and needs to get fitter! It alarms when he doesn’t breathe properly. Happy I bought this one and not the cheap one as he’s been having dizzy spells and I need to know when he has them. The cheaper ones don’t have the alarm.
