Stuffs people need to know
First of all, I love it but I have to say it is different, and it is not for anyone. The following review is really about sharing stuff I learned during my use. Starting with the pros. The vibrams are very lightweight and easy to put on. I have been majorly using them as outdoor slippers when I go out camping, working around the house and sometimes just walk around. They have great tractions and keep the feet breathing. Now, I haven’t actually put them for regular gym training, hiking and other outdoor sports, due to their major kinks. First, comparing to regular sports shoes and hiking boots, vibram has thin and equal thickness across the sole, so if you are heavy or just not used to exercise barefeet, you will feel way more pressure onto the back of the feet and way more shock then what you usually expected. But I do believe you can get used to it or overcome it by training the feet. Second, considering the low thickness of the sole, there are very low defense on the bottom. You fell very sharp feelings walking on regular gravels or rocks, and I don’t feel confident taking them for hiking. Sizing is the hardest part, since you need to choose the size base on the “true size” rather than your regular true size. I have returned about 4 or 5 times just to get it to work. It is not necessarily smaller than regular size, like if you are already wearing larger size shoes for more rooms, you don’t have to go up a size, but have to actually go down. Also don’t worry too much if you generally wear EE shoes, I didn’t encountered any problems. Also there shouldn’t be any outstanding wiggle room in the shoes, for best “adhesion” you need to have both front and back end of your feet contact the shoes, otherwise there might be slipping.

Vibram; Masterfully engineered for the runner
I have been a long time user of Vibram shoes. They are true runner shoes and activity shoe giving the user the most optimal minimalist feel while in use. Personally, feel that the Vibram Alphas are the lightest and most minimalist shoe that can be used for running. I posed a question about the Alphas. I wanted to know if it was good for running to the Amazon community. Some people said yes but only on trails. Others said to run with it but to be careful due to its thin sole. I've been using the Alphas for about a week now. They are GREAT! I usually get the Vibram trail. I went on and purchased the Vibram trails 2.0 due to it being the latest insert in the trail edition. I recieved my "Trail 2.0 today. I tried them on and they fit perfect. I usually were a 12 in shoes. I have wide feet and I'm flat footed. I orders 11-11.5 or 45 in Europe sizes. I'm giving you this information to help a future buyer. These are things that I wished other reviewers would mention on their reviews. The feel of the shoes feels like the shoe was custom made for my feet. Having both the Alphas and Trail 2.0 I can say that both shoes are made superb. It depends on what you are looking for in terms of performance. I would NOT recommend the Alphas for a new user to the minimalist shoe. Maybe high end athletes who are track runners or ballet dancers who are accustomed to staying on their toes. With minimalist shoes you are forced to stay on the ball of your feet while running. That is truly the correct posture of running. Why do you think many users of Vibrams who intially had knee pain while they ran, or plantar fasciitis no longer have those problems. Vibrams are for hardcore runners. You are using every muscle in your legs to run. If you are serious about running or getting into running go with Vibrams. Do your research on each type of shoe by going to the Vibram website. Use Amazon or the Vibram website to purchase the shoe that fits your ambition. I run on cement alot so the Vibram trail 2.0 works well for me. The Alphas works well for me on cement as well. Maybe I'm used to the minimalist feel that the cement feel doesn't bother me. Running in grass with the Alphas feel phenomenal. I ran in grass little bit today. If you aren't used to these kind of shoes let me forewarn you that your legs will feel EXTREMELY sore after a run. When people run in traditional shoes that aren't maximizing all of their muscles properly. The Vibram Trail 2.0 are a 5 star shoe in my opinion. Some of the reviews that give it less than than 5 star have reasons that don't necessarily point to the performance of the actual shoe. The Vibram Trail 2.0 are comfortable, and they are safe [I have worn the previous trails for years]. They are not the most minimalist running shoe (I believe the Aplhas are) from Vibram. Once you get accustomed to these type of shoes you will NEVER go back to regular shoes.

Worth the money? Eh... Not for most.
This review is subject to change, as of writing I've only had these shoes for 2 full days but I feel my initial experience is worth adding for now, and follow up with more in about a month. I want to say this is my first pair of footwear in this fashion, and I grew up walking barefoot through woods, swamp, marsh and asphalt, and still prefer not to wear shoes, so adapting is quicker for me but nonetheless you need to adapt to this style of shoe cautiously and patiently. Your brain will constantly forget it's not wearing sneakers with cushioned heels and you will walk in ways that can hurt you. Simultaneously, if you manage to remain in perfect barefoot posture, you may still injure yourself if you haven't developed the specific muscles required, therefore no going for a walk the first couple of days, just stay around the house and practice. This isn't just about using the shoe right, it's about using your body right so you don't end up causing damage - that's likely why you're looking at this shoe in the first place. So, patience and listen to your body. When I first managed to put them on, they surprisingly fit, because I ordered them in my size just as a jumping off point as every review seems to say to order a size up, some concerningly even saying that they shrink after a wash, as if they didn't read the instructions about cold washing and drip drying under the lip of both shoes. Sadly, the yellow assist tab on the back of the shoes IMMEDIATELY started ripping off, and so getting the shoes on became more of a task due to this poor quality construction. I've had no other issues so far, but it is a serious red flag when even dirt cheap shoes have infinitely stronger assist tabs. My feet are very symmetrical, but for some reason I had the most issues with the left shoe. The V shaped stitching at the toes one reviewer pointed out was the same area that seemed to cause issues for me, although that stitching wasn't the issue but the part at the base of the toes which touches your webbing. It was too far back, which one my index and middle toe webbing caused much discomfort, but no pain. The main thing is that the shoe fit, so I used silicone lubricant and put the shoes back on and that honestly helped so much. You really have to break these things in, so as long as they fit properly, if there's discomfort I recommend lightly lathering your toes in a safe oil and maybe getting a bit sweaty until the shoes begin to conform to your feet. I do rapier fencing and I wore them tonight, and I was initially worried after getting up today and noticing the shoes were even more uncomfortable than yesterday, I gently oiled the problem areas of my toes and went to practice and it wasn't until I was done that I realized I was wearing new shoes, because they had finally conformed to my feet. Again, I can't recommend jumping into this level of intensity so quickly, I know what I'm doing and my previous fencing shoes were Puma F1 racing shoes which have even less bottom protection, so I wasn't worried about hurting my knees or ankles, this was just my opportunity to break them in and I brought a backup pair of shoes in case they caused problems. Overall I'm quite excited to use these more, but there are some red flags I'm keeping a close eye on, and these definitely aren't for everyone. I'm lucky that they're so close in shape to my feet, and if I had much webbing or any deformations I would not be able to wear these, which would be unfortunate as the control they give me is quite nice. I will update if things change.

This is my third pair
I actually ended up selling these to a buddy of mine because he was curious as to why I've been wearing them for the past few years. I went for the black and yellow pair because they go with everything and I wear them daily. I'm never going back to a normal shoe, these changed my life. My knee pain, ankle pain, hip pain, and lower back pain all went away when I switched to this style of shoe and you simply can't get a better deal than Vibram. High quality and they last forever. The lining in the sole keeps them tough. What happens when you step on a nail? speaking from experience, the lining actually helps to redirect the object off to the side and so it really doesn't stab directly into your foot. What does it feel like to walk on gravel? To put it bluntly, I can't stand barefoot on gravel, but when I strap these puppies on, I can sprint across it without any pain. 200/10, why isn't everyone wearing these yet

Becomes loose after a month. Leading to being Uncomfortable
After having for a few months the string for these ones seem to lose thr secretes for keeping foot shored up and secure. Thing said they run "small" when ordering, ordered my appropriate size (13-14) initially fit fine but as I wear them they get less and less snug with each wear it feels like making it easy for toes to move out of spots due to it being loose in the heel area. Also allowing things to fall into the shoe. When I eventually have to order a new five finger type of shoe I will probably NOT buy this shoe again l.

Very impressed with these shoes
Im surprised at how well these fit my giant wide feet. They're very comfortable and feel great. Like you're barefoot and yet protected. Watch a YouTube video on how to find your correct size.

Suitably muted ground feel on dirty, gravelly, pebbly, and rocky hikes with best ever fit
In my book, there are no better fitting shoes than Vibram Five Fingers. Models vary on how much structured is provided to protect tender feet. V-Trail seems to be the max. Still, I get uncomfortably poked once every hundred steps hiking on dirty, gravelly, and rocky trails. Recovery is quick and forgettable. All other steps feel like a foot massage. Your feet, coordination, and awareness must make up for the lack of shoe structures like wide, stable soles, cushioning, rock plates, and deep lugs. The reward, if conditioned diligently, is superior balance, mindfulness, and appreciation of underfoot senses. If you consider ground feel to be ignored, these aren’t for you. Having slowly developing bunions from structured footwear, I delight in freeing my toes, engaging my arches, and strengthening feet in these. Unlike other commenters, I find these true to size across all models I’ve experienced including Classic, SeeYa’s, KSO EVO’s, Bikila’s, and V-Run’s. Over the last 15 years of wearing Vibram FF’s and other brands, my feet have gained a full size: I blame sizing variances on my feet, not the shoes.

A Tad Confused on the Quality
So not even a mile into these I can feel a bunch of the stitching underneath the sole to the RIGHT shoe. I’d be ok with that IF the left was the same but it is not. I feel nothing under the LEFT shoe and a lot of Stitching under the RIGHT shoe. Now it’s very noticeable and I’d be ok if it was both have felt stitching or both have no felt stitching but the disparity is odd. Also the RIGHT has a slight visual difference in quality of the emblem. It’s a tad more yellow than the other. Makes me think that these aren’t a matched pair due to varying quality. Other than that great but I’m probably going to return these for another consistent pair or something else.

“Gloves for the feet”
I love my Vibrams, genuinely, it’s all I wear now. Normal shoes feel like medieval torture devices compared to these. My feet are basically living their best, barefoot‑ninja life, and I’m not going back. They’re comfy, grippy, weirdly empowering, and yes, they make me look like I’m about to sprint up a mountain or join a primal fitness cult. But I don’t care. My toes have never been happier. Five stars.

Acquisto super, garanzia Vibram

Disappointing
Get severe pain between the second and third toe. This is probably due to a faulty stitching seam. U fortunate, since I have not kept the MRP tags, cannot return these also
