Reading reviews is an absolute minefield for lever pull bottle openers. That said this Le Creuset lever pull works really well, it has a smooth action and feels as though it will be durable. This replaced a cheaper model by another brand and that snapped in less than 6 months!

Perfect and reliable bottle opener for removing even stubborn corks

Not the cheapest, but quality shines through! Extremely easy to use, and does the job effortlessly. Looks the part too, which is nice.

I bought this for my husband in September. I read the reviews and as it is from a well respected brand like Le Creuset, I thought it would last well. Sadly within weeks, the actual corkscrew became loose and stretched. It is incapable of opening a bottle of wine now. I don't know if there is a guarantee as I can't now see a way of contacting the seller. A very very expensive mistake - that I won't be making again

At £85 I thought this woul feel and look like an expensive corkscrew , however it doesn’t. I bought a barbentia one for £10 and it’s as good so far. I can’t say how durable as not had either for long enough.

Good quality and clearly better made than a similar own-brand design that I purchased from a large department store, and broke after 5 or 6 years. If this one breaks (which seems less likely given the design) it will be the corkscrew insert, which is replaceable. So I'm expecting to get a lot more years from this one. The foil cutter is also excellent, 4 cutters instead of 2 makes a big difference. A big step up from the cheaper one it replaced. The major frustration is that at this price it doesn't come with a stand. That's just cheap. I used the stand from the old one that does fit but doesn't look quite right, but at least stores it neatly with the foil cutter just about staying put. It would definitely get a 5* from me if they included a stand.

Ich habe diesen Korkenzieher zuerst bei Freunden gesehen und war direkt positiv überrascht, wie einfach und sauber er funktioniert. Da ich ihn dort selbst ausprobieren konnte, habe ich ihn mir anschließend auch bestellt. Nach längerer Nutzung kann ich sagen, dass er wirklich sehr praktisch ist. Besonders gut gefällt mir, dass man kaum Kraft braucht und der Korken sehr gleichmäßig herausgezogen wird. Gerade im Vergleich zu klassischen Korkenziehern ist die Bedienung deutlich angenehmer und schneller. Man setzt ihn einfach an, bewegt den Hebel und die Flasche ist ohne großes Ziehen oder Drehen geöffnet. Die Verarbeitung wirkt hochwertig und stabil. Auch nach mehrfacher Nutzung macht er keinen wackeligen oder billigen Eindruck. Optisch ist er schlicht, modern und passt gut in die Küche oder auf den Tisch, ohne störend zu wirken. Ein weiterer Punkt, der für mich sehr positiv ist: Familienmitglieder haben ihn bei mir gesehen, ausprobiert und fanden ihn ebenfalls so praktisch, dass sie ihn sich danach auch bestellt haben. Das zeigt für mich, dass er nicht nur gut aussieht, sondern im Alltag wirklich überzeugt. Für mich ist es ein sehr gelungenes Produkt, besonders für Personen, die regelmäßig Weinflaschen öffnen und dabei eine einfache, zuverlässige und komfortable Lösung suchen. Ich würde ihn jederzeit wieder kaufen.

I've never met a wine opener that I loved. Manual or electric, they all had their downfall. This is a dream to use! Easy, perfect, EVERY TIME! I'll never use another! This one is solid and heavy. I'm sure it'll last a very long time.
