My chest freezer stopped working after hurricane flooding, and this part saved it! I was nervous about trying the repair myself, but it only took a few minutes to install. The instructions were clear, and once installed, my freezer was back to holding -20°F without any issues. It’s a small, affordable fix that saved me from having to replace the whole unit. 8-year old Wine / Beverage refrigerator stopped cooling and was making a distinct clicking sound every few seconds / minutes. We purchased this Starter / Overload Kit for an excellent price and had it running again in under 1/2 Hour. The only tool required was a Phillips head screwdriver to take the back panel off. There was a black plastic cover over the two parts that needed replaced that just easily popped off. In our case four wires could just be pulled off the old parts and then the old starter and overload protector could also be pulled away from the three pins on the side of the compressor. Reverse the process and your back in business. It took about twenty-four hours to re-cool the fridge and restock it. Spending around $20 was a fantastic value vs. buying a new fridge! Very Easy Project!

The part came right on time and works as stated. My freezer went out with the tornadoes in January. I was waiting to purchase another freezer, but the handy women in me said try to see what’s really wrong. I got on YouTube and saw a couple of video. I disconnected the old part and connected the new pieces in and My freezer started to work automatically. Thank you God this saved me so much cash. When I bought the freezer it was $99 now it’s over $200Con…. Don’t forget your pliers to gently pull off the connections.
