Will this mud mask dry out my skin like other clay masks?

No. The formula is cushioned with Shea Butter, glycerin, propanediol, and infused with Argan and Jojoba oils. Most users describe a soft, conditioned after-feel instead of the tight, pulled feel typical of harsher clays.

Is this safe for sensitive skin?

This formula contains Menthol and Lavender Oil, which can be sensitizing for some users. It is designed for normal, oily, and combination skin. A 24-hour patch test on the inner forearm is recommended before first facial use.

Does it really come from the Dead Sea?

Dead Sea Mud is the 4th ingredient on the label (listed as Silt), sourced from the Israeli shore of the Dead Sea. The mask is manufactured in Israel by E.L. Erman Cosmetics, our long-time formulating partner since SEACRET's founding in 2004.

Can I use this on my back and chest, or just my face?

Both. Apply a thin layer to clean face for a 5 to 10 minute facial ritual, or extend the application across chest, back, shoulders, or upper arms for a full-body mineral cleanse. The 6.7 fl oz size is sized for regular body use.

What does the cooling sensation feel like?

A subtle cool feeling appears within the first minute of application from a trace of Menthol. The sensation typically peaks early in the wear time and fades during the 8 to 10 minute application. The Lavender aroma carries throughout.
