FOLLOW. THE. INSTRUCTIONS.
I have been using this product for years and have been 100% satisfied, but, there is a learning curve for a perfect product.1) Measure by weight, be exact, and mix thoroughly. This is extremely important.2) Do yourself a favor and cast your pieces in a pressure chamber. I run mine at 45-60 PSI. Otherwise you'll get bubbles ESPECIALLY when mixing with pigments.3) Keep moisture out of the equation. It causes the white hazing. If you wash your molds, dry thoroughly. If you use a pressure chamber, put a water separator between your compressor and the pressure vessel. That's pretty much it. I've bought thousands of dollars worth of alumilite water clear and have never wanted to switch.

TERRIBLE RESIN
I mixed the resin exactly how it says in the instructions and I would still get a white haze. I even used a pressure pot and it was just terrible. For some reason, my casts would sometimes also start to develop bubbles AFTER it was taken out of the mold. Called Alumilite and they had no solution to the problem. This brand of resin also gave me an allergic reaction which no other brand of resin has done. Would not recommend this product at all.

Go to resin for pen blanks
Great resin for pen blanks. Mixes easy with a 1:1 ratio. Shines very well after turning a pen and easily mixes with mica powder.

Contracts/expands and not for inexperienced users.
It's hard to say if this expanded or contracted or both but it continued to destroy/crack the vessel I tried to fill with it regardless of whether it was glass or plastic. I degassed the resin in a vacuum before mixing and pressure cast at over 80psi and I could not achieve a cured result free of bubbles /cracks. I'm aware of the resin allergy precautions necessary to handle some resins and this is definitely one of those. I made the mistake of touching my face and I broke out in a rash that lasted about a week all over my hands and forehead about as annoying as severe sunburn and heat-rash. This is largely avoidable if you are very very cautious but If you are in need of clear resin for something casual, avoid this one and go with one of the more user-friendly products.

Water Clear? Not so much...
Don’t be mislead by the name. Nothing about this product is water clear. I have used several brands of resin and this brand leaves behind the most bubbles I have ever seen. I mix carefully and pour slowly. Pop bubbles I see and it looks clear when first poured. Once it sets, the final piece is filled with bubbles throughout. If you just need a resin piece that will harden fast, go for it. I’ll give it that. But if you need it to be “Water Clear”, try something else.
