You can use this coil with that engine. If your truck has ballast resistor or resistor wire, you have to remove it. The coil has an internal resistor.

Hello, will this work on a stock 1954 willys l6 super hurricane engine?

I believe it will, provided the Willys has been converted to a 12-volt system. I have a 1950 Willys Jeepster that I installed this coil in and it works in this vehicle.
