Trailer Plug Adapter 7 Pin Round to 4 and 5 Flat Blade Trailer Connector Trailer Adapter, 2-in-1 Flat Blade Plug

My tow vehicle kept throwing dash warnings that the blinkers weren't functioning, and after some troubleshooting I traced it back to a corroded 7-pin plug on the trailer side. Swapped it out for this one and the errors cleared immediately. The wiring terminals are clearly labeled, matching everything up was simple, The weather sealing on this plug feels noticeably better than the original that corroded out.

These look and feel like they are well made and worked well to replace my corroded and damaged plug. The only issue is they color coding on them was NOT correct for my RV. I learned there is apparently a standard wiring arrangement and an RV wiring arrangement. Before realizing this, I wired it using the colors on the plug and got lots of interesting activity but none that were desired. Lights came on but not like they were supposed to. So, after some research I found an RV wiring order and used that arrangement of colors and BAMO! it worked like a champ! If there had been a little heads up about the different wiring orders and a suggestion that the color codes on the plug may not be correct for an RV/Travel Trailer I would have provided 5 stars. A simple print out, like the one I printed form the web, of the two different wiring orders (SAE Traditional and RV Standard) would have gone a long way in saving me time and frustration and generated another star for my review. Overall, I am pleased and would order these again if needed.

Nice little trailer plugs, decently made, I like the flex sealing nut on the back side, holds the cable in tight. Shouldn't let road grime or moisture in as much.. Theres a color code on the back side, all the colors matched, except one wire. I had a different color, but was obvious were it went . . Only thing I didn't like, was the Allen key that holds it together, I could see the getting rustting and stripping out, vs. A regular screw I grabbed one from a parts store, and it was not cheap.. but it was made cheaply, and didn't have wire color codes but told you to stop turn brake or left and right which is great but color code is a bit quicker and pretty universal... it got broke, So for the same price I got these and I got 2x. And I had them hooked up by myself in a few minutes, and didn't need to look up any diagrams..

It works well and adapts to 4 or 5 pin trailer connectors.

Bought this for my 2014 Jeep because I couldn’t haul a boat. It didn’t have the little anyway I bought it it worked. I still have it to this day and it’s been three years ago.

Good price with a good item, there is an instruction inside so easy to install. but the Screws are not good, after two days it rusts， hope I can take it off when I need to replace it when the plug is broken.
