Superb little sachets. Helpful to see the silica gel change colour so you know when it's time to recharge. I have had them about 1 month, and have just recharged them.The instructions say for 5 sachets it's 3 minutes a side at 700w power (check your microwave power setting).After reading that some people had bad outcomes when dehyrating I exercised a bit of caution.I put 5 x sachets in my microwave on a paper towel on medium power (which for me is 600w) for 2 minutes. After 2 minutes I removed and checked the colour of the gel. I could see that they were not quite fully dehydrated as the silica was almost back to original colour but not quite. I turned them over and did 1 minute on medium power. The result perfect. No explosions, no leakage or other crazy stuff happened.It's easy to see the moisture on your kitchen roll when turning them over. Be mindful when handling they are very warm!As my sachets were not totally absorbed the full amount of time was not needed to dehydrate them.Allow the sachets to cool completely before replacing. Job Done!

Seemed like a good buy, was fairly cheap and appeared to be doing its job. Came in 4 packs so using 2 at a time and then 2 kept aside charged and ready to go seemed like it would work well.But the colour changed to wet fairly quickly and I thought maybe I'm using beyond its capacity, even with two. But tried recharging in microwave and it didn't seem to work. A lot of moisture was released (steam and damp bag) but was taking ages, way longer than what was advised on instructions. So I tried the oven and the bag burst. I'm not sure if it was the microwave or the oven that did it, but the beads spilled inside the oven and were a job to get out. Just aswell it is food grade, because I'm certian some are still stuck in there.

I put a few in my AMS and humidity levels dropped very fast

Very useful for keeping a mini fridge(the small beverage kind that arent true fridges) from building condensation.Would swap and dry them every 2-3 weeks with my use purpose.The bagging encasement material of them immediately starts to appear different and wrinkled when microwave dried but didn't seem to affect moisture absorbency.

I have ordered 2 diverent packs, one of 4 and one of 6. I will use them for my filament storage bags, and these are reusable too. I choosed the reusable packets because throwing them away isn't good.

Ik wilde graag testen of het klopte wat op de verpakking stond en heb een zakje onbeschermd een week in de woonkamer gelegd. In deze tijd kleurde het van oranje naar groen en dit zakje heb ik gebruikt voor mijn experiment. Tussen elke foto zit 1 magnetronsessie van 600 Watt gedurende 2 minuten. Je ziet de inhoud verkleuren van donkergroen naar oranje en het gewicht neemt met 6 gram af. Oftewel: de zakjes nemen 6 gram water op.Een ander zakje heb ik in een waterdichte pelicase gedaan. Deze is na een maand nog altijd oranje en houdt de inhoud van de pelicase droog.6 gram water opnemen is echt heel veel. De maximale luchtvochtigheid bij kamertemperatuur (20 graden celcius) is 17,3 gram per vierkante meter. De maximale hoeveelheid vocht bij volledige verzadiging in een object van 50 liter is nog geen 1 gram. Ongelooflijk, ik had wel de kleinere versies voor mijn pelicase kunnen nemen :)

It appears to be functioning correctly, as indicated by the colour change. A bit overpriced though!
