Q: Mine didn’t come with a pump. Is that normal?

It doesn't come with a pump...it comes with a couple of straws that you use to inflate it with; it's easy to blow up. I made an error in my first review, which I corrected later...confused this ball with another small one I already had that DID come with a small pump. Hope this helps clear things up...I apologize for the confusion my first review caused!

All ball sizes reflect the diameter dimension. The ball would also be considered having a 23 cm diameter.

Q: can you put weight on it? Currently we use a rolled up towel on our side when laying on the floor to relieve pressure on our sciatic nerve.

Yes, I do. I use one at my gym between my knees and when I do core training. I have MS and I do it to relieve tension. It's very sturdy.
