Yes, my last 6 jars were 4.8 oz each. I was happy with the shipment. I have used this creme for years and love it.

Does it help to lessen the appearance of scars?

I think that is an old wife's tale. Never seen it help any of mine

Does this product contain alcohol and is it safe to put in your nose for dry skin?

It is only for external use and it does contain stearyl alcohol ( it is very safe for skin and hair and can be used on the face). It is probably okay to put a little on the inside of your nose if it is raw and sore (e.g., allergy draining) but I would use it mostly on the outside of the nose.

does this have a perfumy smell?

I'm sensitive to smells and this has a prominent cocoa butter scent. No "perfumy" smell in my opinion.
