Jarrow Curcumin 95 Supplement, Turmeric Extract, Joint Support,120 Capsules

I was skeptical about this stuff, but encouraged my mother to take turmeric for her fibromyalgia when she was having a painful bout. When she said it worked, I started taking it for various aches & pains I had & was very surprised at how well it worked. After researching it online & reading everything I could, I decided to try the Curcumin since it's supposed to have the highest concentrate of what works. I've been very happy with it & plan to order more. I have arthritis, carpal tunnel & tendonitis in one of my hands, so it aches most of the time. The same hand had a hard bump on the outside top of the hand that never stopped hurting for 2 years. I also had 3 trigger fingers aggrivating me. One shot of steroids in one finger sent my diabetes crazy & gave me the same side effects as oral steroids(yes, I know it's not supposed to, but I didn't know I was already severely vitamin D deficient & steroids leach the vitamin D out of your body-that's the only thing I can figure) & didn't help the pain or locking of my finger at all! So, I didn't go back for more treatment on the fingers or the hand, I just dealt with the pain & inconvenience - for 2 years. Soon after taking the turmeric, the pain in my hands decreased considerably. Taking the straight Curcumin, the pain is completely gone & so is all 3 trigger fingers! I also seem to have a lot of overall stiffness & body pain, grocery shopping leaves me sore for a couple of days. When I get out of my chair (or bed), I hobble like I'm 20 years older than I am. If I take the curcumin on a daily basis, I don't have a problem except when it's cold. Occasionally, I forget to take it for a week or so, then it takes some thinking to figure out why I'm so stiff & sore again! My mom's cousin (who's in her 70s) injured her knee & was dx with arthritis also, The doctor told her the pain medication would only help a little & she would probably need a knee replacement. She could barely get around, driving, shopping, running errands, or cooking left her in so much pain she couldn't get out of her chair & hurt for a couple of days afterwards. I bought & mailed her a bottle of turmeric, them told her how to use it. The recovery has been miraculous! She calls me on a regular basis to tell me she loves me for sending it because she has her life back again! She says that although her knee is sore when she comes home, all she needs to do is rest a couple of hours & she's good to go! I'm thinking of sending her a bottle of this. I really believe it's made a miraculous difference! Something I forgot to add, is that from what I've read, this works better if taken with a little fat. So, I usually take it with my dinner, with some bread & butter, or a spoonful of coconut oil. I think it does seem to make a difference doing this, UPDATE ($/2013): I quit taking this for about a month & I began to notice that the aches & pains were coming back gradually - including the trigger finger. Everything that hurt before is hurting again. So I know the curcumin makes a huge difference in how I feel! My neighbor recently had a flare up of something they haven't been able to dx. They thought it was Bells' Palsy & she spent weeks in intense pain from it before, with a swollen face. Not knowing what it is, the doctors were treating it as best they could, but she said it was barely touching the pain. I gave her a few days worth of my curcumin & she said it worked better than anything the doctors gave her, so she ordered some for herself. I think the biggest testament is my teenage son. He was recently shot with a high velocity bb gun that went almost completely through his arm from bottom to top & lodged in his bicep muscle. He was in such severe pain that the prescription pain killers the ER doctor gave him only took his pain from an "11" to a "7" according to him. He couldn't move or bend his arm at all for 2 days I gave him 3 of these capsules before bed, without telling him what they were for & the next morning he was able to bend his arm with very little pain! I continued 3 capsules, 2 times a day for 3 days until he refused to take them anymore. He has trouble swallowing them & the powder comes back up & makes him cough. The pain did came back, but not as bad), but he said he'd rather deal with that than choke on the powder. I had not expected the qucik action of the curcumin, I thought it had to build up over a few days/weeks, but with him it acted almost immediatly - and he didn't know what it was for, so it wasn't in his head!

After struggling with persistent ankle pain and plantar fasciitis, I had seen multiple doctors, tried pain medications, and even visited a podiatrist without getting the relief I was hoping for. As part of my overall recovery plan, I decided to give this curcumin supplement a try. To my surprise, it made a significant difference for me. Over time, my discomfort improved dramatically, and I was finally able to get back to my normal activities. While everyone's experience is different, this supplement became an important part of what ultimately helped me recover. The capsules are easy to swallow, the quality is excellent, and Jarrow is a brand I trust. I'll definitely continue keeping this in my supplement routine. Five stars from me.

My uncle is a recently retired trauma care nurse. My mother told him of my problems with pain (primarily back pain). He recommended Jarrow Formulas Curcumin 95, 500mg. To give you an idea of the pain I deal with: I have had surgery on my back for 2 herniated discs. I've also had acupuncture, exercise, physical therapy, massage, drugs and a partridge in a pear tree. Just kidding about the last one. I constantly renew my prescription for Vicodin and Robaxin to assist me with the pain. I now have to take twice the amount I originally did of both in order for them to help me at all, as needed. I ordered this product and had a need for it following a long day at work. In the past natural remedies tended to take a while if they worked at all so my hopes were not high. I did not take Vicodin or Robaxin or anything else prior to taking this for the first time. I was surprised to find that the relief was almost immediate. I only take one capsule at a time when needed and so far just need to take maybe 3 a day over the course of many hours at the worst times. I have not noticed any side effects which is a welcomed perk considering every man-made prescription tends to come with a laundry list of regrets to consider. My 74 year old father still works 5 days a week. He does not like taking medications but has tried this after seeing my results. He too finds that it helps him with just one capsule and is glad to have it. Recently my 68 y/o mother was working in the yard quite a bit. Later that day as she sat at the kitchen table eating her knee swelled up tremendously and became quite painful. My father gave her one of these capsules and she immediately noticed the pain diminish. My sister took her to the emergency room but after several hours of waiting mom decided to just go back home since the pain was gone and the swelling also almost completely gone. Mom is a bit paranoid about medications and such but she has since asked me to order her and my father their own bottle. I've been having wicked joint pain and I've been looking for a solution, anything that could help. Initially, I started doing quite a bit of corrective exercise, thinking that it was something I pulled that could be worked out. Nothing happened. I then moved on to a chiropractor, who gave me relief...that was temporary. I finally went to the acupuncturist of my grandmother, and while it was a very interesting experience, it didn't seem to work nearly as well for me as it does my 82 year old grandmother. Go figure. Little did I know, there is an epic amount of product out there, and it's pretty difficult to get a square answer about what works best aside from doing trials with different products yourself. I tried another brand, and I DID feel some improvement, but then I realized it was filled with GMO's and that I was supporting the destruction of our country and humanity, and I had to throw them away, sacrificing my own pain for the good of the world. Ha. Anyway. I found this particular brand that has no GMO's and decided that I absolutely had to give it a try. It took about 3 days to come (gotta love that Amazon Prime account) and I started right away with two tablets during the day and one in the evening. Now being the researcher that I am, I know that supplements often have a reaction time of 4-6 weeks and it sometimes takes that long for you to see any difference from taking them. Despite that, I started noticing a difference after a few days. Small difference, but present. It's been getting increasingly better every day, and I'm really satisfied with the product. What do I do in the meantime, you may ask? Well, you know what they say, you never buy just one product from Amazon. I recently tore my rotator cuff and am determined to avoid surgery. After much research, I determined that Curcumin would be a better option than NSAIDs to reduce inflammation while I try to rehabilitate with immobilization and then physical therapy. I found several references to evaluations that determined that Jarrow's formulas are actually as advertised. My local nutritionist thinks they put a lot of science behind their formulations. At any rate, I have used Curcumin 95 for about 3 weeks. My shoulder pain has decreased significantly but is not completely gone. I expect it will take more time to rehabilitate, but I am happy to avoid some of the complications that might be caused by long-term NSAIDs. I have had three pleasant coincidental surprises, however. I have arthritis in my hands, and no longer feel pain in the mornings as I used to. Additionally, I have had plaque psoriasis in my scalp for 40 years, and while it is not completely gone, it's pretty close. The terrible itching and flaking has almost completely disappeared...just a few small raised bumps that seem to be decreasing with time. If curcumin 95 can get rid of my psoriasis, it will be a miracle...I've tried nearly every steroid my doctor offers. Thirdly, and I don't know if it is just coincidence or caused by the circumin, I had two small cysts on my back that spontaneously drained after takingthe Jarrow pills for a week and have not refilled. The only reason I didn't give this formula a 5 star rating is because I had to buy biopiperine to make it more bioavailable. Others have given poor ratings to this formula because it omits this ingredient (but for the most part, they are not verified purchases and I suspect the reviews are from competitors). The reviews have a point, however, because curcumin does require additional compounds to make it effective. I have wondered about the formulas that contain Longvida, which is bound to oils so that it crosses the brain barrier and is even more bioavailable. I may try these next time.

Purchased this curcumin supplement to try and improve our overall health & help with any inflammation problems. Picked this brand because of the ingredients, the reviews and that it contains no nuts, soy, wheat & more. So far this one is the best & most potent brand that we have used. When this supplement arrived, we always check to see it our pill bottles are sealed tight, and this one was sealed well. It had a seal around the lid and a seal on top rim of the bottle. The capsules are a medium to average size for most supplements. When the pills arrived we opened them and they had a light smell, that was like a fresh ground spice. The bottle says to take 1 capsule per day with a meal; we take ours in the morning with breakfast. We also take Bioperine or black pepper fruit extract to help this absorb into our system & work better overall. As to the benefits, they do seem to help with pains & inflammation. It does take time until you notice these effects at all, but once you do it seems to get stronger every few days. Pros: Easy to take, medium size pill Not bitter & no bad aftertaste Contains no nuts, soy, wheat & more Potent 500mg formula, with 95% total curcuminoids & Helps with body pains & inflammation Cons: Has a few other ingredients, that are not needed...this is a major complaint we have with many different supplements. Overall we love this brand of Curcumin and we recommend these to anyone that is looking for help with pain or inflammation. We also would suggest this brand because it contains no nuts, soy, wheat & other items that may cause reaction problems. Omg! I was reading up on what would heal boils cause I had 2-4 that popped up. The articles I've read said that turmeric kills the infection/bacteria(?) causing it to spread so for a week I've been taking turmeric milk with pepper etc but I couldn't take it anymore (it doesnt taste good) plus I need more circumin for it to work. So I thought, why not buy a turmeric/circumin supplement??? So I tried this one! I went past the ones with pepper and all those gimmicky packaging because they have such SUPER LOW amount of circumin and just a bunch of turmeric and pepper. Plus you have to take 3 freakin tablets a day so even tho those come with few hundred tablets, you can only use it for a few mos. bec of how low each tablet has that you have to take 3 a day. This has WAY more and wanted to try a basic circumin and this WORKS! I cannot believe my boils shrinked faster than it would have naturally. I almost went to the Dr. because it was getting so huge (gross I know) but this supplement is awesome. For pain however, (cause I have back pain and carpal tunnel issues), I haven't noticed any change but at least I know this works for boils !

I suffer from moderate/severe scoliosis, and several desiccated (dried up) herniated discs, and a herniated disc with nerve pain. And I also have Palindromic rheumatism...(I'm only 50..and felt like I was 90) I've been on a lot of narcotics for the pain and steroid injections directly into the discs and wanted a more natural way to manage my pain. I did some research online and saw that Tumeric has natural anti-inflammatory properties. i figured "what the heck" so I ordered this. After about a week I found that I didn't need the morphine patch anymore and now I'm down to a Vicodin once or twice a day ( prior to this I was "eating Vicodin like "salad croutons", lol) I have a very sensitive stomach, however this has not bothered me and I take it with an empty stomach in the morning with my coffee. If you enjoy taking narcotics for the rest of your life, then this pill isn't for you...but if you want to take control of your life and stop polluting your liver/brain with chemicals...this is the real deal. Will definately order again!!! I'm going to get my husband to start taking this too, as he has bad hip and shoulder pain. I've ordered Jarrow products in the past thru Amazon (Yaeyama Chlorella) and like/trust them. The only thing you need to be aware of is that if you have any bleeding disorders or are on a blood thinner or having a surgical procedure, this is an anti-inflammatory and therefore it can affect your bleeding time, so ALWAYS let your doctor know that you are taking this. I have to stop taking it 2 days before I get the epidural lumbar steroid injections
