Complete blackout with easy application
I’ve used portable suction cup blinds and some other Velcro type blinds, but this is the best of the bunch. I’ve bought two and recommended it to others. You get more than an ample supply of Velcro tape which sticks strongly to your window frame. The tape adhesive does melt in high temperatures, and over summer will need pressing back down or replacing. The Velcro sticks strongly to the blind, and it’s very easy to use. Also been handy for covering up annoying LED/indicator lights! My air purifier is like a Christmas tree, but a couple of strips of Velcro and I can cover it up unless I need to see it.Very easy to cut with a pair of scissors, but I’d recommend some wallpaper/longer scissors as I made a hack of my first one.

Perfect for getting the little one into bed earlier on the light nights!
We were really struggling to get our daughter (2) into bed on the really light nights in the summer because her room was so light, even at 10pm. She has quite thin curtains so we first tried blackout linings which we a huge improvement but still let a lot of light into the room around the edges. So we bought this to try - AWESOME.The Velcro was really easy to apply to the window (haven't tried taking it off yet so I don't know whether it will be easy or not, but at this point I'm not concerned about that!). We didn't want to cut the material straight away and find we'd done it too small so for the moment we have just tacked it with pins until we're happy with the size. This was a little fiddly but didn't take more than 20 minutes. The results when we put the blind up were fantastic - the room was pitch black! It's not the prettiest blind but it doesn't matter because we still close the curtains as well so it can't be seen.I think it would be quite frustrating to put it up and take it down on a daily basis so I have put another app of Velcro on the upper window frame (pointing down) and I can then take the bottom of the blind in the morning, folks or over and stick it up so that it only covers half the window and light can get in. During the winter months I'll probably take the whole thing down as it won't be needed. All in all very pleased with the product - worth every penny

Great solution and good quality product
We have a wooden venetian blind and curtains at my son's bedroom window, but he was still waking up early due to the light coming in during the summer. We could not use a blackout roller blind because we already have a blind at the window and so I bought this. It works perfectly - not even a tiny amount of light gets through and his room is now pitch black. Its great quality: the sticky velcro has stuck hard and fast to the frame, and the material is good quality too. It was easy to put up. I leave it up all the time, and just lift up the bottom half of the blind, and attach it to my wooden blind (using the spare velcro provided) to let daylight in during the day. I will take it down again in the winter. Would highly recommend. (N.B. Make sure you buy one big enough to allow for a good few centremetres overlap onto the window frame on each edge, allowing for any extra fabric needed to go over handles).

Blackout blind that actually does what it claims
We ordered this itema s the blackout roller blinds that we bought were still letting too much light in around the blind itself. The easy blackout blind is straightforward enough. A large rectangle of blackout material - which seems a lot more pliable than the blackout rollerblind material. The pack also includes a huge strip of (one side of)velcro, this is more than enough to cover the entire window frame, whether you decide to apply to the frame itself or the wall around the window. The backing of the blind itself is what I would describe as a lightweight (strength-wise) velco-type furry material. This allows the blind to stay up easily once afixed, but it can be removed quite easily as the velcro is not bound too tightly - very clever. We decided to afix it to the window frame itself to block the maximum amount of light. Once up, the blind blocks out nearly all light from the window. I put this up on an extremely sunny day with light beaming through the window and I could barely make it out at all. The instructions recommnd leaving a flap of about 3cm (as opposed to cutting the material to the exact dimensions of the window, which ensures no light leaking in around the edges. So we got exactly what we wanted, a completely blacked out room even on the sunniest of days. I would have liked if they had provided or designed the blind to have velcro (male and femal if that's how you would describe it!) on the room side of the blind also, to allow you to fold it up during the day without having to take it down completely. I think I will add this myself.

Check the size first!
Fab product and absolutely does the trick and even captures some of the heat but they don't seem to mention in the advertisement about the extra 1.5-2 inches they recommend when cutting to size to optimize the product/coverage.Other than that it's an absolute life saver for the summer. I used to have light spill out around my blackout curtains but I can get up in the morning and the room will still be pitch black. It even tricked the dog into thinking it was still night time. I can't rate this product highly enough!

Better than the competition...
Excellent stuff. These are very effective, they do block out all light if you take care to smooth down the material along the velcro areas. The velcro sticks to uPVC well. The only difficulty is getting the velcro straight on the window frame, not in a wavy line; but this just takes some care and forethought. The materials are of nice quality and should last well. When taking down the blind the velcro does not stick together too strongly so as to pull it off the uPVC as well.I have bought HIMRY Velcro tape, 25 Meter ( 25 meter Hook and 25 meter Loop ), 25 mm width, Sew on Hook & Loop Back Tape, self adhesive, KXB5009 White and tried using this on a different window with other black out blind material but it's rubbish - the tape comes down. So The easyblackout BLACKOUT blind kit is a much better, easier bet that the alternatives even if it's a bit more expensive.

Simple but brilliant!
This blackout blind is totally worth the money! My children's room has two large windows so I had to buy two size 3 kits. Each kit comes with a large velcro roll but we didn't even need to use the second kits roll as we were able to make the first do both by putting up short strips at the bottom of each window. I hadn't even realised when I bought it that the total genius of this blind is that the material itself is velcro compatible on one side, I had assumed velcro strips would have to be put on the blind itself but no, it simply sticks to the velcro on the window frame, so no annoying lining up of the two sides of velcro. It stays perfectly in place, even more impressive when we haven't even cut the material to size as we will be moving so want to leave the material as large as possible in case its needed at our next home. It hasn't budged and the room is completely blacked out. I would absolutely recommend. Brilliant!

Easy and does the job!
Very easy to use and works perfectly. I tried another type from another company, but it was nowhere near as good as this one. I ended up ordering a second one for my own bedroom window!

Funziona molto bene

Volvería a comprarlo.

Doesn’t stick on old painted wooden frame
Followed the instructions exactly but it still fell off after a couple of weeks of use. This was on old painted wooden frame windows. No issue with the blind itself, just the sticky Velcro tabs.
