Women's Sun Valley Down Parka

Bought this coat to wear in winter Carnival in Quebec. Thought I wanted a Canadian Goose... But too expensive... We faced Sub zero temps (C) my body stayed warm whole time! The best feature is the hood... We live in Buffalo and the hood has additional snaps to keep wind and cold out...it's so comfortable I never want to take it off. Best coat I've ever purchased...

I live in Wisconsin. I bought the coat prior to a trip that included Chicago, Minneapolis, and Amsterdam. One coat had to handle all three places. This one was absolutely perfect! Chicago was cold, Amsterdam was cool and overcast, with rain thrown into the mix on our last day, and Minneapolis was downright frigid— meaning never above zero and as low as 19 below. I was comfortable in all three places, as well as at home since I returned. Another advantage is that the coat stuffed easily into the overhead compartment on the airplane without taking up much space. A nice feature is that it has a zipper pocket on the left chest that fits my iPhone 8 Plus. I am particularly pleased because I returned two or three disappointing coats before I finally got this one. It was definitely worth waiting for.

This coat is amazing. Fits beautifully, flatters the figure, and is very warm. I live in Fairbanks Alaska. I waited until a cold week to review. This last week we saw temperatures as low as -42. I stayed very comfortable in this coat. I love the minky lined cuffs and pockets. Breast pocket is perfect for my iPhone 8 Plus and keeps it inside the down layer. I ordered a xxl for my large bust and it fits perfectly. I’m 5’4” too if that helps. I had to have this color too. I did order and try two other Eddie Bauer coats but this is the one I kept. Will definately buy from them again.

I looked at many other brands including the north face, and this coat looks higher quality than any of them. I wear a size 12 in a dress and the large fits perfectly, with plenty of room for layering. Doesn't look puffy. I love it!

Coat looks good, but the hood is a problem.it would work better with a zipper to take it offif desired. Generally I don't take my hoods off my coat.If it had two more buttonsor snaps at the front to hold the nice furry bit in placewhen you're not wearing the hood over your head would improvethis coat also, the hood collar was not well designed. Ifyou hang the coat up by the hood, which i like to do, thewhole thing comes right off. I don't love this coat.For size, it runs small in the arms midriff, a belt would be nice.The fabric is wonderful inside, but the outside is a bit rough andnoisy when you move your arms. The finish at the wrist isvery basic. Some might consider that a flaw.

Buyer Beware. I get tiny down feather fragments all over the back of everything I wear with this coat. (Of course, I discovered this 8 days after the return window closed.) I have never laundered this coat; there are no excuses for this. $178 for a brand new down-leaking coat. Disappointing!

I did a lot of reading before purchasing this coat. I wanted a warm, comfortable, nice looking coat with a hood. I even read up on the how coats are rated for warmth, which is one of the reasons I chose this coat. I love how the sleeves form fit at the wrists and that the coat zips up so high up the neck....all features to help ensure I stay warmer! I chose a large size based on what I read from other comments, even though I usually wear a medium. I have longer arms and broader shoulders, so wanted to be able to wear a heavy sweater under the coat. The size is perfect for me. I saw some complaints about the hood coming off easily and that hasn't been a problem for me. So far, I am extremely happy!

I want to like this coat, but I do not. It is exactly as described, heavy warm, quality features (material, zipper and snaps) but I've barely had it a week and it's leaking feathers all over my clothes. I'm very disappointed. For the price, I would expect it not to be leaking feathers everywhere.

Lovely and warm. Looks great on too. I am a size 10 and the Medium fits perfect. Love the soft lining on the cuffs too.
