Useful for Modifications in HS Curriculum
I teach high school English at an international school overseas. This means my budget for SPED students is non-existent, while the expectations are still high. In my classroom, I have students who tested anywhere from grade 1 to grade 12+ in their ELA scores, so differentiation is wild. I used this book as an alternative to Grapes of Wrath for my very low ESL and SPED students and it worked great. They were still able to participate in whole group and small group discussions, because they had a firm understanding of the historicity of the novel the rest of the students were reading. The different "paths" in each chapter also helped with reasoning skills, which is especially great for my SPED kids.

Informative and Enjoyable for my 2nd grader
I bought this book for our home school Oklahoma history class. My second grade daughter is enjoying it. She is an above average student and has no difficulty with the vocabulary or style of the book. The stories make the history memorable and fit in well with our curriculum.

Wonderful Tool
I purchased this book as a tool to help my students understand the effects of human impact on the lithosphere. After completing the activity with them, I felt it was a great way of getting them to think about humans and the environment.

Great
I got this book for my seven year old, to help prepare her for "interviewing" her great-grandmother about growing up during the dust bowl in Kansas. I remember my parents trying to tell me about how my grandmother grew up in the dust bowl, but it never really meant anything to me. I feel like my daughter has a better grasp on the history of the dust bowl now than I ever did as a kid, and I have even learned some things myself. The "choose your own adventure" aspect of the book definitely brings the history to life. We read one "story" from start to finish in less than ten minutes, and my daughter wants to read all of the different options and make different choices along the way. I plan to purchase more of these books.

I highly recommend these to anyone who wants to have their child ...
My son loves history, so when I saw this series of books, there was no question, that I was going to get some of them for him. He is enjoying reading them so much ! He can choose between several characters and many different situations, that put him right there. I highly recommend these to anyone who wants to have their child feel like they are right there, living it.

Kids love You Choose!
I teach 4th grade and bought some of these for my classroom. I read one aloud and the kids LOVED it! They enjoy making choices and seeing what happens. I love the historical content they teach! It's a win-win! Every title I have read is fantastic, you can't go wrong. Even my students who don't like to read enjoy them!
