I did not expect an heirloom quality piece at this price point, but...First of all - although the surfaces are MDF, as described, I thought the covering would be some sort of laminate... it's not. The MDF pieces are covered by some sort of very thin heat-shrink plastic. VERY susceptible to cuts & tears, and sensitive to heat (DON'T IRON ON THIS).Second - the assembly instructions are of the (sadly) increasingly common "drawings only" style. And not particularly detailed. Which led to assembling several pieces upside down or reversed. Thank goodness for my cordless screwdriver or I'd have gotten carpal tunnel syndrome!Third - the "adjustable" sewing machine/keyboard shelf is not well fitted - the mounting brackets are about 3/4" too far apart (total) for the shelf and its mounting hardware, which means that tightening the bolts fully will bend the brackets inward (out of parallel with each other). If that's done at the lowest position, the bolts will have to be backed out considerably to move the shelf up to the higher notches. Also, the bolt heads are just marginally large enough to prevent them coming through the adjustment slots when repositioning. I was able to surmount these problems by using fender washers and spacer tubes to keep the brackets parallel, but it was an exercise in frustration, and if you don;t happen to have fabrication skills or the necessary parts, forget it. Threaded knobs would also be a welcome addition in this application.Since I bought this table for use as both a sewing machine table and a worktable for painting miniatures , I need the shelf to be both easily adjustable AND rigid...The legs are not "true", causing the entire table to rock on two opposing corners, but thankfully, adjustable feet are included and had enough range to make things stable.Finally, unless FIRMLY secured, the adjustable shelf vibrates badly when using my sewing machine (Singer 4423), which is a fairly smooth-running machine. It's usable, but the goose-neck LED worklight I use moves with the vibration, causing dancing shadows in the work area...I fully expect to have an epileptic seizure at some point. Perhaps adding additional weight to damp the vibrations will help.Either way, return shipping is prohibitive, so I will continue to modify this thing as best as I can. Cross your fingers...UPDATE: I attached a full-sized piece of high quality MDF under the table top, and that damped the vibration considably. There's still some shaking going on, but at a much more acceptable level.

Only thing I have trouble with is shifting the part that can be lowered and raised. Could just be me. But the desk is really good for what I need!

I brought this as a gift for my granddaughter. She did not put it together yet, but to me it was perfect, because when she opened it she was so happy she ran to me and hugged me, she is a teenager so that does not happen much at all.

Great sewing table for small spaces. It is very sturdy and easy to assemble.

This is a well made sewing craft table. So well made and easy to assemble directions. I was thrilled with it.

And she really enjoys it and it's very easy to set up and very simple she's is very happy and pleased. Thumbs up I highly recommend it and makes a great gift.

Noticed this table is now unavailable by this seller, but there are other sellers selling this table at a lower price. Appears to be the same table. I dreaded assembling this table but wasn't so bad. I made several mistakes due to the pictures not being very clear(insets could have been enlarged) but easy to figure out. In the end, I recommend this product: it is sturdy due to the steel base and the screws lock tight. I have purchased other "sewing" tables, carts and ended up throwing them away due to the "cheap" quality, cam locks and with a wobbly end product. They all lacked the steadiness I needed when sewing fast. This one provides the sturdiness, so have no regrets. It was packed well, directions good for the most part, and completed it after about 2 hours with mistakes.
