Camera Mounting Plate for the MX3000, OS700, OS900 Tripods

Ordered the camera mounting plate for my MX3000 tripod - without it the tripod was useless. I was concerned when I got the package as it said for the MX2000 but did not mention the MX3000. The screw key is different than the original - metal instead of plastic, which is an upgrade and easier to use. The plate fits perfectly and now I can use my tripod again! So the description of the item was accurate. Shipping price was high but combined with the price of the item it was very reasonable cost to get use of my tripod again. And I learned it is a good idea to store the plate on the tripod instead of on the camera so I don't lose it again.

This is as sturdy as they come and it won't scratch up your camera. Easy on and off for your tripod. I just leave it on my battery pack so I never have to worry where it is. I highly recommend this.

I oder this because mine did not have one. Found it online and it seemed to be the right one. Only problem I have with this is it coast me more to ship it than did the price of the plate. Not happy with that , but it does fit and will work just fine.

I have the MX 2000 tripod and lost my other mounting plate and ordered this one to replace it. The top of the plate that makes contact with the camera is not rubbery, but hard plastic, yet it still holds the camera sturdily when tightened. The plate connects/disconnects easily to/from the camera, requiring only 2.5 turns of the screw. It fits within the tripod quick disconnect perfectly and allows for easy operation of mounting and dismounting the camera. Highly recommend. I wanted a reasonably sturdy and affordable tripod which was also very light, but which could also reasonably securely raise light cameras and lenses to eye level. I could find nothing that fit all of my requirements in one tripod until a friend showed me his cheap MX2000 tripod. Frustratingly, I could not find one until one showed up on an auction site that I usually avoid. The "buy-it-now" price was more than it had been when new, for a "new in box with case" sample, but I really wanted it, so I bought it. Not unexpectedly, the MX2000 arrived without the case, without the two camera mounting plates normally included with it, and it was used (with a few minor scrapes and much dirt on it). I was happy to have it, and to find the plates for it on Amazon (of the correct of two possibilities that could exist, depending on the particular head that came on that tripod - and this one did fit mine and I bought three of them). It is worth noting that these also will fit (well enough...) the Arca and Really Right Stuff camera-plate clamps. Recommended! --DR

I bought a tripod from Walmart Lost my quick release plate. when I tried to order I replacement I found out that they weren't selling them anymore I was really upset because I love using my tripod so I thought well maybe I'll look at Amazon and there it was. the plate was very reasonably priced and only took about 4 days to receive it. this company has a huge selection of tripods quick release plates and replacement parts all reasonably priced I would recommend them I would also order from them again.

I have searched for years for a mounting plate for my Targus M3000 tripod to replace the one that was stolen along with my camera....No luck at the camera shops. I was a bit hesitant at ordering online as I was told that mounting plates change as tripods get updated. I ordered 2 (just in case) They arrived within a week and fit my tripod like a glove...I'm so happy ...I almost dumped it off at Goodwill a while back..woo-hoo!

As the description says, the QRP-7 works perfectly on my tripod with MX 2000 stenciled on one of the legs, but with nothing engraved on the platform. I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 only because the shipping rate seemed excessive to me.
