Huge time saver
I was averaging 4 to 6 flat tires per month due to the nature of the area I live in. I carry a repair kit with me so I never was stuck for long due to a flat tire. However, being late for things and the accumulated waste of time became intolerable.A little bit of research pointed me at tire liners like these ones. The reviews on this product were good and for what it's worth, I liked that they are biodegradable.Installation was straightforward and in the month since installing them, I haven't had even a single flat tire despite riding even more than before in the same area.Very well worth the purchase!I wasn't able to detect any discernable changes in acceleration, top speed, cornering, etc. as a result of the additional weight. Ride comfort remains unchanged. My bike is not particularly light anyway, and I've always been of the mind that as far as commuting is concerned, an extra 10 pounds doesn't really matter unless it's all uphill both ways. So the minimal weight increase of these tire liners is not even worth considering.Regarding the weight of the bicycle consider two identical cyclists riding the same path at the same speed, one with a 30 pound bike and one with a 20 pound bike-- who's getting more exercise? I've never understood why people who ride for exercise sometimes obsess over lightening their bikes. The added weight of these tire liners simply isn't a concern unless you're racing, but considering a flat tire could lose you the race, maybe these tire liners would be a wise investment for racers as well.Edit-- two months now, no flats. Happy!

Made in USA
I keep getting strikes for hating on Chin*se made products, am happy to report these tire liners are not made in that wonderful country, as of 8/2024.

Not a hard plastic like they used to make.
Fits very well over the intertube and the size of the wheel being 26" All parts of the intertube are covered by covered by the product as far as the tire hitting the road.Wish they made this with harder plastic. Back in the day they were by anther company but I don't remember the name or could find so I went with these make sure to check out there website for the color you need that will fit your bike. Also bought the 2 Pack of Slime Intertubes which was a great deal for $12 in change, they wanted $26 a piece at Dicks sporting goods.

Hoping for no flats from goatheads
I've used before and hoping for no goathead flats. Used about 1 month and so far success. Fall and late summer is usually worst time of year. Installation is not difficult, just have to pay attention to position in tire. But in the long run saves time on flat repair/tube replacement of patching.Note: don't buy the plastic strips that are imitations.

I’ve ran over a lot of glass, nails, and even went through some forest trails and these fire liners kept air in the whole time :). Keeping in mind that the first shard of glass I hit popped my tire (no liner). I’m very happy with this purchase
