I tried several off brand drum units, this is by far the best. No streaks at all. Clean Pages, no issues at all. I scored a used brother printer/scanner/copy from a thrift store for $18. It worked off the bat but needed a new drum the old one was literally falling apart and was not feeding correctly. For less than $20 total I bought a new drum & new toner and this machine will last me many years.We used brothers exclusively at work & the life on them is amazing. Some models require a digital reset of the drums. Other toner cartridges can require the gears to be manually reset using a screwdriver. Many people throw out used toner unaware that some models will say out of toner when the gear reaches the end of its cycle. This process varies by brother model. Further toner cartridges that do not have these gears on the side can be purchased and added to many models of toner. You can youtube your particular printer/drum unit to see what is compatible.I don't write many reviews but this drum unit deserves A+++I was unhappy with the streaky pages from the "speedy Inks drum" so I recommend

Replaced my old drum with this one and also put in a brand new toner cartridge at the same time. Terrible streaks on every page it prints now. I'm going to have to order another one from somewhere else and hope for the best.EDIT: The company read my review and sent me an e-mail saying that they would send me a new unit and I told them I would edit my review if the new one did better. The replacement they sent, while not perfect, was much better than the old one. I'm still using it in my laser printer over a year later, so it must not be that bad.I upped my review to 4 stars to account for the new unit and the great customer service offered by the seller. I was impressed that they take the time to read customer reviews.

I was a bit disconcerted when the unit arrived in a box labeled "Laser Toner Cartridge" -- I was certain that I had ordered a drum unit. I opened the box and fingered the sealed plastic bag enclosed therein. It felt like the drum carrier, so I opened the bag. Indeed, it was the requested item. The replacement is visually identical to the old unit that I removed from my MFC unit. I installed the replacement -- referring to the on-line manual for my printer, since no instructions were included with the replacement. Thus far I have printed a single page with no visible artifacts. I cannot vouch for the long-term reliability, but in the short term it does what is expected. As long as packaging and directions are not part of your expectations.

The drum is working okay after many, many so-so quality prints after it was first installed. I'm fairly certain the Brother OEM drum would have worked right out of the gate. BUT, the Brother OEM drum would have also been 5X the price. All in all, I'm happy. If you have one of these in a professional environment or need stellar prints every time, all the time, don't go cheap and just buy the Brother OEM. If you're like me and just print here and there, this is a great option.

Just what I needed at an affordable price! Great seller! I thought it was my toner. Received product in a timely fashion. I would definitely buy again from this seller for my technology needs.Some products, although claim compatibility, this one actually worked and did so very efficiently. It is still in use today! I am very pleased with the product as well as the seller. I imagine I won't need another drum for a while, as this printer has been of very good quality, serving it's purpose for a machine it's size. It was quite a while before I needed another drum but now that I have found a great seller, I hope this review helps

This drum has been nothing but a problem. It is supposed to be a brand new drum, but my printer kept telling me to change drum soon, as soon as I put this "brand new" drum in. When I fiddled around with it, I finally got it to print, but it prints all pages with a dark line down each page. Terrible quality. Don't know how long I'll be able to use it, as the printer still keeps telling me to change the drum, and won't let anything print using this drum. I have to keep fiddling with it, to trick my printer into thinking it is a brand new drum, which it was supposed to be. I do not recommend this drum at all. I have bought other compatible drums from other places, and have not had this problem. Waste of money!7/5/2012--Further commenting. Do NOT BUY this drum. Prints the whole page dark, black toner all over the place. Can't see the printing. I've cleaned the drum roller numerous times. Keeps getting worse. I hope my expensive all-in-one printer is not ruined. I'll find out--as soon as I order a NEW drum (as in actually new, not advertised as new, but not new). Will order a REAL BROTHER DR350 this time.Change that One Star to NO STARS!

Would highly recommend this Drum to anyone who has the need to keep a fairly new 5 in 1 going, its a great deal and quality is PREFECT as the OEM at 1/10 the price at those office supply stores. How much do they think these all-in-ones are wroth they just want you to buy a new one with starter toner. I was shock to find the OEM parts were 4X the price of this 5 in 1. So much for keeping them out of our landfills. Also with a good warranty how can you go wrong. Thx Amazon for fulfilling this using this vender.

The product was received before expected date. I had a mistook to check my order before installation.I reset my printer for new drum unit. However, the printed paper came out with double shape printing image.I had tried many times to get nicely. It wasn't good. Then, I checked the new product of drum unit which had scratchs. That was my fault due to lack of experience to check before installation. I did not return to seller this product. I tried to make good printing , so I cleaned it up using youtube technique. But still the same as before double shape printing. Finally, I checked the roller which is black color was totally worn out already. That was a big issue for that new drum. All in all, I was lucky because my old drum still did not thrown it out yet. I took it out my old one and installed into the new drum unit. It was great. I was so happy for my experiene. I recommend/remind everyone not like me. Please check any product before to do next step and then you can return if you found any damaging ; otherwise, it would be screwed/messed it up.Thanks!
