Works as described!
I purchased a 1/4" male mono jack to 3.5mm TRS female input specifically to use on a "Line out" on a guitar amplifier to my in ear monitors. The Adapter works perfectly sending the mono signal to both left and right sides/ ears when I am playing. I'm sure it will work just as well if I send a trs out from my laptop or phone to the 1/4" mono input in the amplifier. I would purchase again!.

Not all products are the same. I needed a Male Mono plug that had a true Stereo female receiver. that will combine both tracks. These adapters do just that. I have made the mistake of purchasing others that only played one side of headphones I had. I was very happy it the fit and function of the adapter.

It didn't work
I bought this adaptor to use a mono microphone with a small amplifier that accepts a mono input. This adaptor didn't work. Out of frustration when this one didn't work, because I had an urgent need, I tried using a three-poll adaptor I've been using with my headphones, and it worked just fine. So the product I'm reviewing here simply didn't work.
