It did good. Needle did not break. I brought extras just in case. The only problem I had was the needle would get suck in the hole of the pony. There should be a lock on it to keep it in place.

This was my first time rerooting a doll and this kit was perfect! I didn’t want to DIY the tool and this was more than worth the money.

Rerooting doll hair has to be the hardest, most tedious thing in the world to do, but this tool makes it a little easier. My granddaughter and I have been working on a custom doll and practicing on the rerooting process on another doll. For the price, this kit has been the easiest. We haven't broken a needle yet because the holder holds it tight in place. But we probably will before it's over and good to know we have extra needles.

This came with many pieces that weren't mentioned in the listing. I got some tools to style the hair which was odd... The reroot tool is the handle from an X-acto knife(which is commonly used to make these tools) but the twister can come loose often. The needles were of an ok quality. Managed to reroot a whole head with pre-drilled holes with only a few broken. Disappointed that it didn't come with a cover. Save yourself the hassle and buy an X-acto knife, remove the blade, and cut sewing needles at an angle with wire cutters. It seems that what you get when you purchase is up to chance based on other reviews, so I wouldn't chance it...

Needles kept breaking , tighter screw kept getting loose. Wouldn't buy again. Made my repair job take much longer than needed.

This one works! I purchased a different one, less expensive, it was horrible, sent it back. This tool holds the needle in place and hasn’t pulled out of the tool while working. It’s so frustrating when the needle pulls out and sticks in the doll head and you have to contently replace the needle. This tool works with various sized needles too. Happy with this purchase.

I got this tool to make my son's wig for Halloween. The store ones were too big to fit and the tool worked well with a white latex bald cap. I was able to work faster by using the tool provided to pre-poke through the extra layer of stocking I used to have the glue hold onto. And just using straight application the needle was strong and stood in place never getting loose while I worked. His costume was a hit and many compliments.
