I easily utilize my trailer and various straps 30 or more times per year, and these are the best narrow straps I've ever purchased. The straps are rugged and the ratchets are easy to use. Here are a few tricks if you're new to using ratchet straps: --I find it a lot easier to roll them up after every use before stowing them in my trailer box. --I also find it a much, much easier to separate the ends and reattached them after I've thrown the long strap over the load. Once you learn how to quickly reattach the end it's so much more convenient than always trying to thread the strap with the heavy ratchet still connected. --Finally, a trucker taught me to always hook one bungy cord on every strap...this keeps tension on the strap and you will never find your load coming accidentally loose again. Great straps.

I bought these straps because I needed something heavy-duty to strap down my backyard theater move screen. We were using rope strung through the eye screws and then staked down, but with the winds we get down in the valley, our screen took off like a sailboat. We already own one set of SmartStraps but they are wider and they stay in the truck. These aren't as wide, but they still get the job done. Our screen hasn't moved an inch since we strapped it down. We just added 2 more eye screws and put one hook in each eye screw and then strapped each strap to a corkscrew dog tie out. These are the real deal! They are great quality. The ratchets are heavy-duty and easy to use. We have nothing negative to say about SmartStraps.

The handle is a good size. It is easy to grasp and feels solid. I like the sewn-in loops too. It's easier than keeping track of a separate loop. The velcro strap makes it easy to secure the excess strap. Again, it is easier than keeping track of something to tie up the loose ends. And the box is a nice way to store them. Many times if you don't put something in the exact way it came originally it won't work. But I've put these in backwards and everything just fits. All in all it's a well thought out product.

I own a fencing business and struggled to find quality ratchet straps that would hold up to constant use until about 10 years ago. That's when I stumbled across these straps. The built in loop helps make a much more secure connection, and the velcro straps keep things more organized. My crew generally has 6-8 of these straps on the truck/trailer at any given time, and they usually last about a year. For what we do to them that is more than acceptable to me. The price is probably the best feature about these straps. It might be one of the only things I buy that has actually dropped in price over the past few years.

These are great quality and they last long. Better than most.
