Really good
The zipper on the bag doesnโt reseal. This is likely due to the ultra fine powder, but who has time to meticulous clean the mechanism when bag clips exist. Unless you have the steadiest hand in the world the combination of the ultra fine powder and poorly designed bag will result in a huge mess. So scoop over a sink. That being said, this tastes amazing, feels good as you digest it, and fills you up for several hours. This is likely the only thing Iโve ever eaten that I prefer the vanilla to the chocolate flavor. I havenโt tried the other ones because I use it for breakfast and canโt get on board with the idea of dessert flavors that early in the morning. And no chocolate doesnโt count. Chocolate is an all day flavor.

I got some Huel tips for you
I almost never mix up a Huel and drink it immediately. I mix it up right after I drink the last one, which has been sitting mixed in the fridge for hours already, up to a day or more sometimes. This ENORMOUSLY helps with the texture. I do this with all my shakes. They are all better after soaking longer. If it soaks too long it starts to ferment and opening the shaker bottle will come with an obvious pressure pop and it tastes sparkly kind of like kombucha. The website says don't let it sit too long pre-mixed but so far I've never noticed any dire effects. Could be I'm gambling with my life? It doesnt come with a scoop. This is to save money and the earth. Your first order of Huel from their website includes one, but I just use a stainless steel measuring cup I have set aside in a dish on the counter for this one purpose. Add the powder to the liquid, not the liquid to the powder, unless you like bricks at the bottom of your bottle. You can't put dry powder in a bottle for transport and add water later wherever you are. Learned this the hard way. Swirl the bottle before shaking it, so you don't just slam pack the top of the bottle full of sludge that never mixes in. Learned this the hard way too. When I first open a new bag, I will take a toothbrush I have for cleaning shaker bottles, and dry scrub out the zipper of the huel bag. Wherever they pack this stuff and seal the bag, there is often powder in the zipper. I do this until I'm able to get the zip to close. You can also just fold and use a clip, or dump it all in a repurposed protein powder jug or a big plastic tupperware. I like to mix my chocolate huel with chocolate vega sport protein. ~ 60g Huel, ~30g Vega. It's like drinking chocolate pudding. The coffee flavor has caffeine. May seem obvious but I learned the hard way after a sleepless night. Huel contains MCT oil from coconut. This has me searching for alternatives because I am mildly allergic. I used to use straight MCT oil and could immediately tell that the area around my nose would get itchy after taking it. The effect of the Huel is milder to the point that I've ignored it for years, but I figure it's time to quit giving myself mild allergic reactions constantly. This info is for anyone who might notice anything similar. Any new product may come with a gastrointestinal adjustment period. Oats are commonly associated with gas. You might want to get a digestive enzyme supplement along with your first order. I have never noticed a particular reaction with Huel myself, but it's pretty common that new proteins and fibers introduced into your diet will have an adjustment period and you may eventually decide you're not compatible if it never goes away.

Play-Dough receives an Upgrade!!
I was excited to purchase this to help offset my inability to always make the best food choices while running around my hot and busy kitchen. Itโs a little bit messy right out of the bag and as usual, you really have to tickle the ziplock to get it to work properly, maybe better to save one of your previous 5-pound protein jugs and ditch the bag entirely. Itโs nice and thick, I shook it up with ice and almond milk but I think it would be better with soy milk, richer and a bit more protein. Not gonna lie, the flavor brought me back to kindergarten because the vanilla flavor tastes better than I remember a fresh can of play dough smells!! Still, itโs better than voraciously attacking a mass of ultra processed packaged snacks like the ones we stock. This is going to help me ace my physical and keep my gains!!

I feel completely swindled.
I bought Huel Black Edition because I believed I was paying for a high quality, nutritionally complete product from a company I could trust. Then I learned that Consumer Reports independently tested Huel Black Edition and found 6.3 micrograms of lead in a single serving, enough that Consumer Reports specifically recommended consumers not use the product. I had already consumed about six servings. What makes this particularly upsetting for me is that I have *alpha thalassemia minor,* a hereditary blood disorder, so I am extremely intentional about what I consumes and have spent my life avoiding unnecessary exposure to heavy metals and contaminants. Had I known about these independent test results beforehand, I would never have purchased this product. I understand that trace heavy metals can occur naturally in plant based ingredients. That is not the point. This is marketed as a premium, health focused meal replacement. I trusted Huel to exercise the level of care that positioning implies. Huel disputes Consumer Reports' findings and cites lower numbers from its own testing...But as the customer, I am apparently expected to gamble on which laboratory result is correct AFTER after I have already consumed the product. I did not pay premium prices to participate in that experiment. I feel swindled, and more importantly, I feel that my trust as a health conscious and careful consumer, was abused. Six servings were six too many for me. I threw the rest away. Trust lost. Customer lost.

Chalky and gritty
Product is very hard to dissolve. I have a bullet blender and have blended it multiple times and itโs still very chalky and gritty. The taste isnโt bad. Just wish it was a smoother consistency.

So far I really like it
I really like this a lot. I used to get soylent all the time but they were constantly sold out of the larger tubs. This one is actually more filling than soylent. The price is a bit higher but I like it more.

Great
Vanilla and strawberry and cream are definitely the best flavours . Best with milk and I bought a vortex power mixer . I put the milk in turn th mixer on then put the huel in its much easier and it makes it lump free

accident choice of flavor
I only use chocolate and accidentally got the vanilla flavor which was not bad. Did not cause any tummy issues with flavor change so all was good. I am back on chocolate again after finishing this.

Vanilla Ice Cream that Makes Me Drop Gas Like Crazy
I've not been a fan of this flavour in the beginning but it grew on me. Mixed with chilled coconut milk, tastes like vanilla ice cream. It's calorie-rich where two scoops equal 400 calories, which is perfect for a skinny-fat bloke like I. It mixes and dissolves quite well, about 90%. However, there is something in this powder that doesn't agree with my gut. Even after 20g (1 scoop) a day my ass won't shut and I'm cutting silent stinkers constantly. The whole house reeks of faeces despite windows being open non-stop. Just recently I was awaken by the stench of my own protein farts and when I lifted the duvet, I was almost sick. This is the first time this has happened to me.

Dissolves well.
Surprisingly tasty, dissolves well even with three scoops if you use their shaker or a mixing ball. Good macros.

Tastes like cardboard. very far from huel ready to drink (Edit: Gotten used to the taste)
I tried a few flavors of huel ready to drink bottles and they were very good. I assumed this would be similar but it is not at all similar, not in taste, not in texture. It really does taste and feel like cardboard powder. That said, I am too lazy so I should be able to finish this 1.5 kg pack in a few months but not ordering it again ever. May be they should add a measuring spoon. Edit: from 2 -> 4 stars. I have gotten used to the taste. Will order it again because of ease of use. Sometimes I don't want to cook at night after work and this is a healthy way to get some nutrients.
