are they good for tea?

Perfect for tea or coffee. I love the look of this cup for casual service. I still use my teapot and cups and saucers when I'm serving several people, but these are great for just me with teabag or tea ball/spoon. Hot chocolate isn't bad in them either.

Many microwaves allow stainless steel racks, probes and implements - I have had four in which I can keep the spoon in the cup to stir and the handle doesn't get hot. The question is "what is under the stainless steel?". Test by starting the microwave and stop after 2 seconds. If the metal handle is hot, it's a no-go. Nobody thought to mention that the glass with hot contents might be too hot to handle and place back into the handle/frame.

What is the diameter of the top of the cup? I want to set a Vietnamese coffee phin brewer on top.
