Great all around tire for xc racing and riding
Easy to get on and off. Sticks to the trail. Great for conditions in Virginia

Sped up my bike!
Changed my 27.5 fattie trail hard tail to a 29 inch XC focused bike to make climbs easier and long distances less tiring. Oh boy did this wake up the bike! I have loved it with these XC tires ever since for about 5 or 6 years now

They lettering is yellow
I bought this tire to replace my Maxxis Forkaster, they had white lettering, the picture in this site didn’t show it as yellow so now I have to mismatched tires . I’m not happy, expensive too. I may send it back, the picture almost decievingly doesn’t show the Maxxis lettering. I wouldn’t have bought it if the picture had showed it in yellow

4 Failures in the Last 4 Months
I'm wondering if anyone else has had the same bad luck with Rekon Race tires as me? I've had four flats/failures of Rekon Race tires within the last 4 months, two while XC riding/training, and an unfortunate double flat in a local XC race where I ended up needing to run across the finish line to finish. I've switched back to Ardent Race tires which I'd been running prior which had a fraction of the failures and have been much more durable/less failure prone. The tradeoff in lower weight and rolling resistance of the Rekon Race tires over the Ardent Race tires hasn't been worth the durability issues that I've personally experienced.
