Space Ducks: An Infinite Comic Book of Musical Greatness Hardcover – May 1, 2012

I'd like to begin by saying that I am a huge fan of DJ, so my opinion is that of someone quite familiar with his work. If you too fall into this category don't waste another second reading this, just click "add to cart". The book is more or less a collection of related art put together to form a loose story of sorts. I was hoping for a more straightforward tale w/ DJ doing his best Jack Kirby/Stan Lee, but in the end I was quite pleased w/ what was produced. We get some great artwork, lots of laughs and plenty of Space Ducks firing some of the best weapons ever drawn at agents of Satan. As a fan you can't go wrong with this beautiful oversized hardcover. Hopefully more books from Daniel will be on the way as I would love to see something featuring Joe the Boxer or Vile Corrupt. While I write this I am reminded of how rare it is for an artist to honestly touch me emotionally, help me through a rough patch or put a genuine smile on my face...Daniel is certainly among the few and as a result my review is 100% biased...I will buy anything he puts out, but I imagine most of his fans feel the same way.

Bought this for my son's 44th BD, who is a Daniel Johnston fan. Read it first and loved it. You could spend all day just studying the artwork alone.

I purchased this as sort of a collecotr item. It looks great and I'm happy to hav it.

If you are a fan of all things Daniel Johnston, by all means order this now and proudly display it on your shelf, perhaps make an alter. Space Ducks is the mind of Daniel, and by now means is this story coherent or linear. If your child saw this book, do not buy it as it contains some material not suitable for children.
