I can't say how great these motors are and how much of a difference they have made in being able to fly my quadcopter now. They have alot more power and lift than the stock motors I had in the quadcopter and it makes a noticable differnece in control and flight time as well. The addition of the brass gear also makes these motors much quieter than my original stock motors as well. I would highly recommend these to anyone needing to replace or to just upgrade their stock motors on their Syma X8C. Pros: Brass gear makes for quieter flights, big differnce in thrust and control, longer flight times than stock motors Cons: None at this time I will update this thread at a later date if I have any issues with these motors. If you found this review helpful please click yes below and as always any and all comments are welcome. Review: Outstanding motors! - These "upgrade" motors are exactly that. Easy to replace, more responsive, quieter and have completely fixed my problem with VRS. I puchased these motors for an X8 that was found in a tree with a bad motor. After noticing how much more responsive they were, I immediately purchased another set for my main X8C. (DBPowers Camera, FPV camera with seperate battery, Gimbal, and lipo buzzer. Total - 150 grams) I was having a problem with VRS and now the problem is gone. Less than 20 minutes to replace all 4 motors. Remove the cups on the bottom of each motor and unplug. 2 screws on top and motor slides right out. Only do one at a time so you dont mix up the cw and ccw motors.

Great product... but a word of caution.
These motors perform as advertised. They are quieter and smoother than Syma's original X8G motors, resulting in videos with noticeably less noise and "jello" image distortion. I can't vouch for any increase in power because I haven't done a side by side comparison. I purchased these because I.burned out one of my motors getting my quad unstuck from a tree. Being that these are upgraded, I had to replace all four motors (and a damaged gear and shaft assembly). This required completely disassembling the quadcopter, a fairly painstaking and time consuming task. Everything went together quite precisely, though. Here's where I ran into a problem. I had tested the motors several times during assembly to make sure they were spinning and responding to the controller. Everything seemed fine, so I went ahead and finished reassembly, put my quad on the floor and spun up the blades. Still seemed fine. I gave it enough throttle to take off and... oh oh. Two of the blades stopped spinning and the quad fell a foot to the floor. It took me a few minutes to notice that one of the "B" motors was spinning clockwise rather than counterclockwise. I was furious and dejected, thinking at first that I'd have to take the whole thing apart again. Fortunately, I realized within a few minutes that it was simply a matter of reversing the wires soldered to the motor and that these were easily accessible by removing only the two screws on the motor housing. Whew! I had to go out and buy a cheap soldering kit at Radio Shack, but I was able to remove and resolder the wires easily. The quad now works better than new. So with all the hassle, I should take off at least two stars for poor quality control, right? Night Lions earns back a star for their excellent customer service. They responded to my complaint within 24 hours and immediately issued a partial refund to cover the cost of the soldering iron I had to purchase, exactly as I had requested. Buy these with confidence if you need to repair your X8, but double check the direction of rotation before going through the whole installation process.

Great replacement motors for my syma X8W
I needed to replace the stock engines in my quad copter. Because I burt one of motors up. so I thought I would upgrade. Although these are the same exact motors. It has a brass gear. Which gives it a quieter and more smoother feel to the quad copter. if you are going to replace one of the motors or all of the motors on your quad copter I would recommend these motors with brass gears.

These are proven garbage. 16/20 motors eventualy failed within a week
How are these not getting more bad reviews?? We bought 5 sets for use on 3 different X8's and had failure after failure mostly related to fact they need long cool times between runs unlike stock motors or else they burn up by the 2nd-3rd battery every time. Always back 2 motors failing first. We did tons of testing because we are x8 addicts and confirmed these can not handle normal use for more than 15-25 flights when the stock motors will do 100+ with out failing in most cases. I strongly suggest getting extra stock motors instead of these. The power gain is not significant regardless, maybe 25% gain tops but not worth time it takes to swap them out all the time let alone the cost. If you can afford it go brushless kit because if you own one already you can have a full size brushless quad for only hundred bux which is bout cheap as they come but this will have x8 usability and survive more crashes than competetors

Four clockwise motors. Qc is poor.
All four motors were clockwise. Two had the blue wires. Two were black. Not impressed. I can't fly it today in the rain, but I'm not expecting much. I'll update if these turn out to be something special. Otherwise, I'd steer clear unless you know how to solder (which you should, btw.) Cheap, but so far more agrivating than a simple plug and play.

Drone survived but 1 motor is bad. Had to order another 4 pack of them
I only have about 6 flights on these motors ( about 1 hour total). They worked well for the first 5 flights then on the last flight I lost one of the motors (luckily at about 6 feet off the ground) it made the drone instantly flip over and drop. Drone survived but 1 motor is bad. Had to order another 4 pack of them. I guess for as inexpensive as they are it is not surprising to possible have a defective one. I will give the new ones a try and keep my fingers crossed.

These motors work great
I have been using these motors in my SYMA X8G now for awhile and they are a bit quieter than the factory ones. They seem to produce slightly more power than the factory motors as well which is great. No issues at all. I definitely recommend as a replacement or upgrade.
