Ski Queen Gjetost Original Goat Cheese 8.8 ounces 2 pack

Wonderful goat cheese from Norway. Been enjoying it for almost 50 years.

So glad I can have a piece of Norway in my home with this amazing cheese! I got hooked while I visited Norway, then found it in New Zealand more so than USA... so I was stoked when I could get it here in US!

The package arrived intact from Norsland Lefse, sturdily wrapped in three bubble wrap envelopes, the inner one metalicised. The cheese was cold and firm (not warm & melted as other people said in the comments) even though the cold ice pack was melted. The Norwegian brown cheese, from Norsland Lefse in Minnesota, was rich tasting with lots of flavor and had a mild sweetness like I remembered it when I traveled in Norway years ago. I had been looking for that cheese in stores for years and could not find it. I'm glad Norsland Lefse carries it on Amazon. It is definitely a value for the money. It reminded me of traveling in Norway, such a beautiful country with the fiords, the high mountains, and friendly people. I immediately stored it in the freezer like Norsland lefse recommended. Even though I've never bought products from Norsland Lefse, on Amazon or anywhere else, I keep mentioning the store I bought the cheese from, Norsland Lefse, because Amazon has a bad habit of lumping many companies, that sell the same or similar products, in together, and you cannot tell, if the product and the company selling it, are what people are talking about in the comments! Amazon, get real; we read the comments to find out if the product advertised is what it says it is! I cannot say enough about the quality of the product (Ski Queen classic creamy caramel cheese in the orange wrapper) and the wonderful, quality service of Norsland Lefse in Minnesota. I will definitely buy again from Norsland Lefse!

I was introduced to this cheese when I was young and I cannot find it in any store anywhere! When I saw it on Amazon, I had to order it. It’s a little expensive but it’s worth it if you’ve never tried it you should you might really enjoy it. It’s very rich and creamy.

I am ethnically Norwegian, but had never been there, until 5 years ago. I studied up--and one of the things I looked forward to was brunost, or gjeitost. I had it every chance I got in Norway--mostly at buffets, and it was love at first bite--firm, but still soft, creamy, caramely and a hint of smoke. The other day, out of nowhere I had a craving for this one of a kind delight and ordered this product. It arrived, in the summer, completely cool, and well packed. The taste was exactly as I remembered from my Norwegian trip. This is a uniquely delicious cheese, and I can't imagine why it isn''t better known, and this particular product is tops! Jeg elsker denne osten (I love this cheese)

First taste reminded me of a diluted Kraft caramel, with a slightly salty ending. It didn’t improve after that. I was intrigued by the description and wanted to try it but I won’t bother eating any more of it. It didn’t taste bad, it just doesn’t taste like cheese to me. I’m giving it 3 stars because the cheese wasn’t at fault; it’s just not appealing to me.

Melted cheese- in the middle of winter. Do not recommend!
