This was exactly what I needed for my family's Christmas jello recipe. Sometimes this is hard to find in stores, so it was nice to grab it on Amazon. It was just a couple of tablespoons shy of what I needed for the recipe, but it all turned out great, and the flavor was wonderful.

1ST, it is lower sugar. READ the entire label, less grams of sugar than the 4 other Red Current jellies I bought at same from time Amazon. It is runnier than most commercial jellies more like grandmother's homemade jelly. Red Currents are very tart. I would have liked it to be more tart like Public's and Garner's Red Current Jellies both now discontinued. But is the best replacement I have found so far. I am ordering another 2 jars now.

This jelly is very tasty. You can really tell it's made with fresh currants. The balance of sweet and tart is lovely, and it doesn't have that cloying sweetness that ruins so many jellies. I used it to fill some thumbprint cookies, and the flavor was a huge hit. The small jar is also very charming and would make a lovely addition to a gift basket. The texture was a little bit runnier than I typically like for a jelly. When I tried to spread it on toast, it was a bit messy and tended to drip off the sides. It's not a dealbreaker, as the flavor more than makes up for it, but I prefer a slightly firmer set for my morning toast.

Very happy that I selected this product amongst the others. As the heading says its absolutely delicious. I use it in certain recipes and happy that I bought 2.

This is a relatively small jar of jelly at only 5 ounces. It arrived very well packed inside a box with packing peanuts, I appreciate the attention to insuring it arrives intact! The jar itself is well sealed as well, I had to wrestle it a bit but got that reassuring pop sound when it opened! I really like the flavor. I've never tasted currants before but I enjoyed the flavor. The product title calls this a low sugar jelly, but at 9g per serving it seems similar in sugar content to any grocery store jelly I've purchased. The jelly has a nice texture, it is reasonably spreadable. It is a nice quality jelly and would make a nice addition to a gift basket. Value wise, it seems a bit expensive for the size of the jar.

This item is described as low sugar. Just rec’d it and very disappointed. First of all it’s very runny and it’s very SWEET. First ingredient is SUGAR not currants. They should not advertise this as low sugar because it is not! If I could return this I would but it’s not returnable. Lesson learned.
