Lifetime 1084 Height Adjustable In Ground Basketball System, 50 Inch Shatterproof Backboard

We love it!! I got it for my kids, but I think I use it more than they do. It is everything I wanted in a basketball hoop. My cousin helped me install it. It was a simple install and is very sturdy. I am very happy with this purchase! Absolutley reccomend. My only thing I can't comment on is I purchased it in May of 2025 so how well it stands up over time. I believe there is a lifetime warranty which is comforting. The way it was put together and the materials used, I do not think this will be an issue.

Straight forward assembly. Due to time constraints we hired our landscaper to measure, dig hole, mix/pour concrete, and level for a few hundred dollars. WELL WORTH hiring someone who already does concrete work. He used his upright mixer and the post was set in one hour and half including clean up. If we had mixed ourselves in a wheelbarrow it would have taken hours. A few days later we assembled backboard using the back of our truck as a work surface. Definitely takes two people for the project to go smoothly. Appears to be a sturdy quality product. Our son is 12. He will get many years of play time with it. The adjustable feature transitions very smoothly. NOTE: we anchored post with larger concrete base just because we have high winds/weather here in south Tyler Texas. Instead of the recommended 18" circle we poured a 24" square at a little over 21" depth. Used 9 bags of 60lb concrete. This thing isn't going anywhere!!!

Easy assembly and installation. Very sturdy and easy to adjust the rim height.

Overall this is a good value for the cost. I gave it only 4 stars because it is a bit wobbly and flexes in the Texas wind. I added an additional brace at the bottom. The backboard was not true. It had a slight warp to it. My grandkids love playing on it the height adjustment is wonderful and even the six year old can adjust the height with some creative lawn chair usage.

We moved into a house with a broken in-inground basketball hoop. After trying to find a replacement hoop and backboard (BTW, universal is not universal) that would fit the holes in the supports, we decided to replace the top sections. The Lifetime pole fit beautifully over our existing base even though it is probably 15 years old. Although it took three hours to assemble and definitely two adults, the hoops is up and getting lots of use. Our boys love the score keeper and find the height adjustment to be really easy. Great hoop for the price!

The basketball system is a quality setup. It js sturdy and it is super easy to adjust it up or down. I did hire a handy man to assemble it. He did almost everything solo. He needed an extra set of hands to get the top of the pole in the ground. I do want to call out one point regarding the score board accessory. It called for 2 self tapping screws to attach the plastic score keeper accessory to the pole. There is NO way you can simply screw these screws into the side of the pole without pre-drilling a hole first without a drill bit. I even watched a YouTube video on it. I think the instructions omit this piece of info. Other than that, happy with the basketball net and my girl loves it!!!

My 11 year old and I put this together.. Friday night dug hole and set the post. About 2-3 hours. Sunday morning did the rest. About 4 hours.. All and all I'd say it's great.. I ordered a basketball holder for it.. definitely need to follow directions precisely.. seemed to be pretty easy to mess up the height.. i'm within 1 inch so I'm happy.. oh.. and I recommend pouring an extra pad on top and make your hole wider if your gonna dunk.. as far as regular basketball it's great my son loves it...but if you get fancy need more concrete.. enjoy
