Why did you pick this product vs others?: This is a good index card box. It seems sturdy and opens and closes well. The size is good for my purposes; it holds 400 index cards and is not too large or too small. The slot across the top, making it possible to stand up a few cards there, is a handy feature. The price is reasonable. Note that no index cards come with this index card box.

Works well for organizing small items, just feel the clasp isn't super secure. I bought it for holding a bunch of playing cards and found it's really not best for that mostly because of it's size, but I've continued to use it to store other small items in my room and it works fine for that. The clasp in the front and hinge does feel a little cheap and I wouldn't want to carry it around in a bag or anywhere it might easily pop open, but a secure shelf in my room for knickknacks is totally fine, and it feels fairly sturdy. Not bad for the price.

I'm loving this box. It's roomy and has a ledge on top that can hold a card that you may be using for reference.

When I first got this, I thought it was crap. It would not stay closed. I decided it wasn't worth the hassle to send it back. I use it for grocery coupons and the last thing you need in the store or to/from the parking lot is the top opening. To my surprise, like many good wines, it improved, with age. You actually have to use the latch to open it--instead of just staring at it like at first (that's only a slight exaggeration). Anyway, I'm perfectly satisfied with it now.

When my kiddo started learning a new language this year, their teacher's preferred method was good old-fashioned flashcards. So, as part of our back-to-school supply haul, we grabbed this black index card box — and seven months later, I’m happy to report it’s holding up like a champ. And that’s really saying something, considering it’s spent most of its days being shoved into a giant backpack, commuting between home and school. Despite the rough ride, it hasn’t cracked, bent, or fallen apart. Major win. Not only is this little box impressively sturdy, but I’m also thrilled to report my 7th grader is crushing it in Latin. So, kudos to the box — and even bigger kudos to my kiddo.

The index card box was the correct size, but I wasn't totally satisfied with the design and sturdiness of it, as well as its capacity. The price is comparable to similar boxes, but there was a bow in the latch area that didn't line up with the other half so you have to finagle it a bit to get it to close. Just a bit annoying.

I bought this box to use as a recipe box and it is perfect. It stays closed when not is use and has a indent on the top of the box where the recipe card can stay when it is being used.

I chose this item too quickly, thinking it included cards. Pretty expensive for an empty plastic box.
