pH paper does reasonably well. Fairly accurate and a nice sturdy case/dispenser.Initially when i used it i thought it wasnt working because the strips didnt change color when placed in known acidic or basic solutions.Turns out that the first few inches of the strip that were exposed were probably exposed to air too long during storage etc.After that, no problems and fairly accurate pH results.

I tested various products. At first I didn't think they were working, since all the products I was testing were between 4-6 ph...the color didn't change much. Then I tested lemon juice and a lye based relaxer and got fairly good readings (relaxer is probably higher than 12, but that is as high as the strip tests for). Over all very simple. The roll will last a long time.

If you are alkalyzing, you need this pH tape. It is a much better deal than the strips and works well. You don't need to test your pH below 6 (if you are below 6, start eating a vegetable once a week) or above 8 (pretty hard to get your pH this high), so why buy the tapes with a wider range?

Pros: It does what it should and the dispenser is better than most.Cons: The package says that this type of paper should only be used for buffered solutions, this was not mentioned in the item description (it seems to work fine anyway). It's a little hard to differentiate between the three orange colors for pH 4,5, and 6.

I have an electronic meter as well so I can determine how accurate these paper indicators are. They're fine for a scale of "strongly alkaline, weakly alkaline, weakly acidic, strongly acidic," but that's about it. Forget about using them to see if you're close to neutral or any other quantitative pH value.

I needed an inexpensive and small supply of test papers for my elementary class. This lightweight and easy-to-use dispenser met my needs as far as not taking up space, being easy to transport, I could allow students to tear their own strip, and they could read the results quickly and easily. It was delivered to school promptly in a small package; the whole experience made for a fun and convenient lesson. The kids had enjoyed learning about pH, and were enamored with the magic of this tiny paper.

For the price these worked very well.Needed them for a project ((was testing the pH of a facial serum I was making) and they served their purpose.The main caveat, for me, was that I don't believe them to be as accurate as necessary for skin-grade testing. Acid levels matter greatly for that purpose and not having the measurements be spot-on can be a problem.This doesn't necessarily reflect on the product, just a recommendation that you purchase wisely for your projects.

I'm starting hydroponics and wanted an easy, inexpensive way to check the pH on a daily basis. This covers the whole pH spectrum, I can tear off as short or long a strip as I need, the color chart is inside the case so it's difficult to lose, and the incremental changes are quite easy to read. I may eventually buy an electronic tester, but in the meantime, these suit my purpose just fine.
