Beginner, Electronics Exploration Kit, Stem Kit for Ages 5-9 (SCB-20)

So much fun! We will be repeat buyers for other kids. This definitely engaged and offered great enrichment for my kiddos in a very safe but practical way.

As the grandma I set it up first so that I could answer questions. kids loved setting it up and following directions for themselves once they had run a couple of circuits. this was interesting for my granddaughters as there is such a dearth of good stem toys for girls. I bought 2 more for all the sets of grandchildren.

10/10 — the best item we have ever purchased for our 4-year-old. I would recommend getting the larger pack right from the start and introducing only half of the pieces at first. He mastered all of the builds in one evening and quickly began creating his own. We will definitely be purchasing the next pack.

Purchased this set for my 7-year-old. Really appreciate how easy it is for him to follow the pictures to assemble the different projects. What would give this product 5 stars and make me super impressed would be to have a booklet that explains the science behind what he is doing as he connects different parts. Something as simple as a QR code to different YouTube videos. I’ve found plenty online that work to explain to him what he’s doing. It just adds the reason “why” behind connecting up the electrical circuit. As stated, it’s a great product! With a little tweaking it could be an outstanding educational tool .

My 5yr old reallllly loves this thing. He’s obsessed with robots and building things, so this was right up his alley. He can sit and spend a good bit of time messing with this, and I love knowing it’s a more educational toy. Also, the little yellow circuit with the light broke pretty recently after we got it, but the company kindly said they would send us a replacement part. Highly recommended this awesome toy and great company!

Christmas gift for our 6 year old grandson. He was thrilled when he opened the box and immediately began working with it. Easy directions with pictures, and he’s good with that. Soon he had lights lighting, propellers spinning…so much fun! The little projects progressed in difficulty and added on with complexity. Not sure the batteries can support the drain for the add-ons, but time will tell with that concern, plus he had to set it aside to open other presents. 😊

Perfect for the curious beginner, will be purchasing next level up soon.

I bought it for my 4-year old son as a birthday present. The light-motor and siren (beeper) are really key components of this Beginner kit. My son loves to put all lights, siren, and lamps on it. The manual with projects is easy to follow. I, however, need to sit with my son and help him to follow the instructions. Without the help the 4-year old will be frustrated within 30 minutes. As I enjoy circuit boards myself, it's not a big deal for me to spend time on it. If you plan to leave your young child to play along with it than I believe he will lose the interest shortly.
