GOLDEN Key to the Kingdom Adventure Fantasy Board Game - 1992, 1-6 Players, Ages 12+

Item arrived in good condition, one of the cards showed signs of having been bent in half and creased but nothing else was damaged and all pieces were there.

My Key to the Kingdom game I received today came complete with all pieces. I enjoy playing this game very much. As for difficulty, it is fairly easy as most of the game is luck-driven. My 5 year old brother can play the game without our help, (while we play with him, and other than setup), as most events are just a simple roll of the die away.There are two instruction books included, one for basic gameplay and rules, and the other that contains directions on how the various hazards in the game should work. There are many key locations, (towers, castles, and fortresses that contain a treasure), but you will have to defeat a monster before you do. Everyone also has equiptment cards that they can use against monsters and in the hazard zones. Probably the coolest feature of this game are the 2 whirlpools. When you land on one, the gameboard unfolds and turns into a larger board with several new worlds. Once someone gets the key to the kingdom and one other treasure, it's a race back to the start to exit the kingdom and win the game.I had no problems with this game, other than small wear marks which are natural, since the game is nearly 20 years old. I recommend this "whirlpool of fun, fantasy and adventure" for kids of all ages, and families. I purchased this after watching an AVGN review on Cinnemassacre.com. I wanted the game for about a year after watching the review so I finally caved and bought it when I saw it dropped from being 100 bucks to 60. Well when I got the set, one piece was broken, but everything else was in tact and in good condition. The downside isn't really so much the build quality as it is the rules. The game is kind of tedious as you have to constantly pull out a book to figure out what to do next. I played it with 3 friends of mine and they were begging for the game to end long before it ever did. I must admit myself the game wasn't quite as good as I had hoped it'd be. What's even worse is the "$1" sticker on the box that you can tell means someone got it at a garage sale for that much. It's a pretty fun game, but probably more well suited for kids to play with adults that can help them through the rules that are too confusing for kids, but too boring for adults.

This is a fun game well worth the price. It has a lot of depth to it with many obstacles which gives you a different experience every time you play. It is easy to learn and anyone can come out victorious in the end, no matter how experienced they are. All in all this is a fun game with a unique gameplay that is sure to make your game night an enjoyable one.The only problem I had was that the game's box was crushed on one side, but the delivery box was crushed on the same side so I am guessing it was the postal service's fault and not the vender. I was very excited to get this game... I have fond memories of playing with my family and friends. I always thought Key to the Kingdom was the best board game ever created. I was pleased that the game arrived earlier then expected... However, the game was not complete! I was very upset that my favorite Red Adventurer was missing... As well as the Brown Adventurer... Very dissapointed to only recieve 4 of 6 markers to play the game. I would not have spent so much $$$$ on a game that was not complete. As far as the person who sold it to me is concidered.... They false advertised on stating the game was complete and it WAS NOT. Very bumbed that I do not have a complete game. Poor salesmanship!

In great condition! Only a couple of pages were ripped just like they said. My boyfriend loves it! He used to play it as a kid so it was nice to find one in such great shape still!
