This coloring book has so many good things about it. First it is a thick spiral bound book with tons of images to color. The paper is heavy and strong, and being spiral bound the pages are easy turn all the way through. AND the pages are perforated so if you want to remove them for coloring or for framing this makes it so much easier. The front of the book starts out with some color pages on patterning techniques, coloring techniques, and color theory, as well as several pages of colored image samples. All images are single side which always makes coloring easier, and on the opposite page of each image is a famous quote. There are two different artists who worked together on this book, and at the bottom of each page the artist name is listed so you know which artist created the image on that page. If I had to describe the images in this book in just a few words, I would call them happy, fun, and inspirational. Truly a nice coloring book that would make an excellent gift.

I'm a coloring book snob - I like thick pages, one-sided images, spiral bound and I kind of hate themes.I get bored with coloring the same thing over and over. If you like a great quality coloring book with many, many diverse images then this is the coloring book for you.If you want something light, easy to carry and themed, this is not for you.My only issues was that the spiral can't bend back which kind of defeats the purpose of the spiral for me, but isn't a deal breaker.Highly recommended.

I love that this is a hard cover spiral book and can lay flat.The paper quality is good. There are no back to back pictures and the book includes tips and tricks.

The Ultimate Coloring Book Treasury is the first adult coloring book treasury by Design Originals that I have purchased. Although I have purchased other coloring books published by them before. I was familiar with both artists and, really enjoy coloring their designs.Their have been other coloring book treasuries that I have purchased . One that I felt was well done and another that wasn't done. However, when I reciveved my Ultimate Treasury I found Design Originals surpassed all my expectations.~ spiral-bound book with a thick layer of lament on the cover. Which allows the book to open completely and lay flat on a table. I have also been able to use it with it opened and the front cover placed 360 to the back and used in a ER waiting room resting on my lap. The spiral is a sturdy plastic material. That is closed securely at both ends. It has held up well to being packed inside a backpack and a messenger bag.~ paper is thick bright white paper . Not thin copier paper. It has a perforated line for clean easy removal . Pages are one-sided with an inspirational quote on the back.~ Media : I have used are Color pencils , dry watercolor pencils, and gel pens work the best. Faber-Castell, Royal-Langnickel , Super Doodle and Lolliz are the brands I used and had no bleed through of the gel ink Markers will bleed through I used Bic Mark-It permanent markers and fineliners.Features- 5 pages of instructions.- 10 pages of examples- 96 total pages to color- 51 pages by Valentina Harper- 45 pages by Thaneeya McArdleOverall impressions : I was impressed with this books presentation compared to that of glue-bound treasury books. Most of the pictures are uplifting with cheerful designs and inspirational affirmations to color.The one thing that gave me pause about the book was the including of designs known as sugar skulls and day of the dead designs. They didn't really seem to flow well with the rest of designs in this book.I especially liked the animals, flowers, mandalas and inspirational affirmations. I would recommend this book to other who are looking for a variety of designs to color.

If I could give this a six I would. It has the finest, smoothest paper I have ever encountered in a coloring book. No snow! There is enough variety for anyone. I don't like coloring skulls so I removed those (about six) The spiral rings are coated in plastic making page turning easy. I did recognize a lot of the designs as having done them before, but it was long ago, so those I'm doing again and enjoying this great paper. If you like coloring designs with little white dots on black background, then there are plenty of those, too.

I love this coloring book! It is spiral bound, the pages tear out, and the designs don't drive me batty. I have several coloring books that I relax with, but some have designs that are so intricate, they feel like work instead of play. This one also has several colored pages with hints for how-to get the most out of it including a color wheel and some easy advice. Love it!! Oh, and the designs are only on one side of the page, with a fun quote on the back. Some of the pictures have sugar skulls that make for an interesting change and some are simple quotes with borders, although the majority are nice florals. My favorite book by far!!

Drawings are smaller than 8 x 10.Title does not live up to the colorings. ANOTHER DISAPPOINTMENT.

Excellent item! I bought this to color between calls at work, and it is perfect! Lots of coloring pages with varying degrees of complexity. The paper is high quality, thick and a bit glossy, but still perfectly able to hold marker or colored pencil without bleeding. It's bound together with a hard cover, which covers the spiral binding on the inside holding the pages together. It folds out flat and the pages don't try to flip themselves on you, which is a huge plus. Coloring this book between calls has really boosted my morale, since it's so calming and colorful and there's no frustration with trying to hold the page open or wait for the ink to dry before resting your hand on it to color a different part.
