Awesome
This Chicken Plucker is wonderful. This is first time I bought, and the item is top quality plucking chicken. The item is very sturdy and is well made from quality materials. The rubbers are safe and not have to worry about it will cut/scratch your fingers or hands. It plucks the chicken so fast and so clean that you cannot believe it. The only thing I wish it has is the handle attached so is easily to lift and pull/push. Also, it would be nice to have a place for the hose for water, so you don't have to stand there and hold the hose for the water. Price wise, is good because how it plucks the chicken so clean. Very happy with the product.

Awesome Plucker
Wow. Amazing plucker! 30 seconds and birds are clean. Held 2 at a time Cornish Cross 11 week old birds. They were about 16lbs each.

Works fantastic with proper scalding
We finally got around to butchering our broilers and used our plucker. I could not be more pleased with it. Proper scalding makes all the difference in the world. We bathed the killed birds in 145 degree water for 90 seconds and the plucking went very well. My daughter wanted to keep the feet and the plucker skinned those with ease. Just make sure the feet are scalded as well. We did 50 birds total and just put one bird at a time in the machine. I tried two birds and it worked fine but at the pace we were processing, 1 bird at a time was easiest to manage. I did not try more than two birds so I can't comment on capacity. Clean-up is easy although feathers do get stuck around the base of the rubber fingers so if you want to get it really clean, you need to manually remove those.

Decent for the price, but could use some improvements.
Putting together the plucker was pretty easy, although the manual is out of date. When attaching the legs with the wheels, the left and right are labeled wrong, but itโs easy to figure out the right orientation. Also, it came with the proximity sensor installed, so I either I was sent a used one or it now comes installed. The plucker works pretty well, and would work well for a few birds l, but I would recommend for a lot of processing. Here are my issuesโฆ The body of the plucker is a little flimsy. Itโs mostly fine when itโs installed but can easily bend when your cleaning it. Iโd like it to be made with a little thicker metal. To improve the existing design, an extra piece of metal could be added at the bottom of the body to give it a little more rigidity without adding too much weight or cost to the product. The next issue is the number of fingers. If your only doing one bird, sometimes a number of the feathers didnโt get plucked. We were doing roosters who were 14 months old. Since they were a little larger we did them one by one and with the feet and head on, the bird would get stuck in the fingers. We started to remove the feet and head and getting stuck no longer was an issue. But Iโd recommend you always do at least two birds at a time if they are broilers or 6-10 months old. If this plucker had more fingers, then the birds wouldnโt have gotten stuck. Another issue is the placement of the on/off switch. Itโs a common location on many pluckers, but it would be a great option to have an optional remote on/off switch that could be mounted to the side of the base or something. Being 6โ2โ tall, it was a pain having to kneel down and find the switch. There are others pluckers that have this on the power cord, but I wasnโt comfortable with their online presence and support. Another thing would be to have a longer power cord, at least another 3โ, which would move the electrical away from where your spraying water into the plucker. My big recommendation is to clean and completely dry the plucker when done using. I took off the body and made sure there were no feathers stuck in the fingers and did the same for the base plate. (Donโt loose the key on the spindle.) To make sure the plucker was completely dry, I used an air compressor (not a can of air) to blow out all the water from under the fingers, the seam on the tank AND the rivets. The seam is not welded along the entire length and rivets are not sealed, and will accumulate water making it easy to start rusting. We will probably get some mineral oil (food safe) and lightly coat the edge of the seam and the rivets to prevent them from rusting. For storage, I covered with an extra large contractor trash bag and set a small โdamp-ridโ container inside to help absorb any remaining moisture while being stored in the barn. Overall, itโs a decent machine for someone doing maybe less than 30-40 birds a year as long as you completely clean and store it properly. In my opinion, itโs also worth it to get the additional warranty from Amazon. Mechanical items like this can easily die for no reason.

Works great!
Worked like a charm! We just had to clean the feathers out of the tray one time. It was clogged. But it worked great! It was fast. The instructions were a bit difficult to understand at first but we got it!

Expensive Paperweight
If I could give 0 stars, I would. This plucker died during our third use, and I fought with the manufacturer and Amazon both to have the repair, replacement, or even flat out return and refund covered. After months of fighting with them, I voided my warranty by having a friend help me fix it. New GFCI installed and it worked for 2 more runs of 30-40 birds before it has yet again died. Nothing quite like realizing you're going to have to unexpectedly hand pluck or skin. We have gone above and beyond to keep the electronics dry. We store indoors when not in use. We clean it thoroughly when we are done using it. It still has been more headache and cost me more than what it would cost to rent a setup from a local farmer. Stay far FAR away from this plucker. It's just an expensive paperweight.

Worth the money and we'll made
Works well. First one I've used so I can't compare it to anything else, but it definitely get the job done. It's well made, but the only thing I'd like to see is a foot pedal to activate it. The on/off switch is underneath it and would be better accessible if it was a foot pedal. Other than that it's a solid purchase and I'd definitely recommend.

Plucker in less then a minute
This was a definite game changer. My daughter and I had 44 birds to cull, was not looking forward to plucking by hand. This plucker made the job so much easier. Within a minute if that, the bird was plucked! It was a day late to what it should have been delivered but we'll worth the wait!

Works great!
Works great! Easy to put together, use and take apart for cleanup afterwards. On/off switch is kind of in an awkward spot to get to while your using but doesn't affect the use or performance. Plucked each bird basically clean in 30 seconds or less. We will definitely be using this again and again

Great purchase and performance.
I was very happy with this machine, we do remove the feet as they get stuck in the fingers. We tried 2 at a time but one at a time was about 30 seconds to a very clean pluck. Kept water flowing and did plug up a couple times. 31, 8>10 lbs birds in under 2 hrs. This machine made the butcher day fast and clean. Great purchase for an affordable price, the machine is as described.
