Very fine powder, I am very pleased with it

This setting powder has a very fine, silky texture that feels lightweight on the skin. It applies easily with a brush and doesn't leave my makeup feeling heavy or overly powdered, which I appreciate for everyday wear. The finish is soft and natural rather than completely matte, giving the skin a smoother appearance without looking flat. It helps take away excess shine while still allowing the makeup underneath to look like skin. I particularly like the way it softens the overall look of my base makeup and helps reduce the appearance of uneven texture. The powder is finely milled, so a little goes a long way. It blends well and works nicely for setting areas where makeup tends to move, although using too much can make the finish look less natural. As with most powders, the final result depends on the skincare and foundation underneath, especially around drier areas. A beautiful soft finish. I'm 52 and perfect over Pro Prometics Foundation which is fabulous but leaves a bit too much of a sheen for my liking. This finishes it off perfectly.

Good product, disappointing packaging. My daughter really likes this setting powder and is very happy with the product itself. However, I was quite surprised when I opened it and saw that the container appears to be only around half full. I appreciate that loose powders may need some space in the container, but this seems excessive. The packaging gives the impression that you're getting considerably more product than is actually inside, and it also feels unnecessarily wasteful from an environmental point of view. It's a shame because the powder itself is lovely. I’d much rather see e.l.f. use a smaller container that better reflects the amount of product you're actually buying. Less plastic, less wasted space and clearer expectations for the customer. Good powder — but the oversized packaging really needs rethinking.

I bought the e.l.f. Halo Glow Setting Powder to set my makeup while keeping a natural, slightly luminous finish, and I’m really impressed with how it performs. The powder is very fine and lightweight, and it sets makeup without making the skin look dry or flat. It gives a subtle glow rather than a completely matte finish, which I really like for a more natural, healthy look. I don't wear a lot of makeup; a daily swoosh of foundation, eyeshadow and blusher is about it ~ but I have to have something to just finish off my foundation, and as I'm past 60 it really has to be something to negate the matte finish of foundation; and a flat powder only emphasises the crags, so to speak. Halo Glow is the perfect finish for me. It's not matte and neither is it over-glowy, like a light highlighter, as I have found with some 'illuminating' powders that go a step too far. Halo Glow just adds the merest hint of a luminescence, in the lightest milled powder that doesn't cake or crease. This is a powder you can build if you need, with the faintest glow ~ I love how Halo Glow makes my skin look, it knocks the socks off so many much more expensive brands, lasts all day, and I never worry about creasing. It is absolutely the best powder I have ever used. It does take the shine down, but in a very light, almost filter-like way.
