GeeniDot Smart Wi-Fi Outlet Plug – Compact Design, Works with Alexa & Google Assistant, No Hub Needed, 2.4GHz, 2 Pack

I’ve purchased 22 Geeni WiFi plug-in outlets of various models inclusive of single, double, 4-switch, several 6-switch outlet strips, and 2 outdoor models as well. They work very well and reset when power goes down. That being said, the only issue I’ve had is due to Spectrum internet constantly dropping which gave two of my Geeni units problems with missed on/off times. Since I’ve switched to Alta fiber 1Gb service with 4 Amazon Eeros mesh 6e units. The combination of eeros with fiber allows for a seamless operation with zero problems. The better your network, the stronger consistent symmetrical up/down use with no throttling back. I highly recommend the Geeni & Eeros products. I’ve not been paid for this review, this is on my own perceptions of everyday use. Alta Fiber also uses Eeros routers for their customer based service installs.

I had one of these on-demand controlling Garden string Lights for 2 years outside in the elements (under a plastic cover)it worked 40ft from the wifi source inside the house. Another is a nightly lamp in the living room, auto on for 4 hours.Needs a reset rarely ( 2-3 months) Great for the money.

Amazing item. Works so well to control whatever plug you want controlled. Can control through your phone. So far extremely happy.

Bringing comfort to life.

These work as they should until they don’t. Maybe it was a supply chain issue during the COVID years but the capacitors will start leaking. I’ve had two fail. One right around a year, then the other around two years. Reminds of how all those motherboard capacitors started leaking back in the mid 2000s. Same thing. Otherwise, these plugs are simple to setup and works as they should with the app and Alexa. For the price and ease of use I’m not too worried about having to purchase them again. It’s just a shame that I reached out to Geeni and their support is terrible when I tried to get them to ship me a new one a year ago. Planned obsolescence. My review isn’t even on their website anymore. So they pick and choose.

One of the easiest plugs to connect.

These plugs are brilliant, were very easy to set up and schedule with the Geeni app. However, I wanted to control with the Alexa app, but it would not allow me to set up a routine with 4 demands. I found videos but one for Android not ios, so the app was very different. I love the voice commands, but I purchased to set up a routine, and I am not sure this will work. Time will tell.

I love these. Very easy to program and use. My only complaint is that you can't fit two next to each other in the same plug area. If they were rectangular, it would be better. But this is the brand I started with, so I'm sticking with it.
