Love these! Great quality.
These sketchbooks are so sturdy. The binding is constructed well. The paper is thick and smooth, perfect for alcohol-based markers. The paper is also very white and makes the colors look very bright. Great for any age of artist.

Best marker art journal I have found
These are my new favorite art journals. The paper is thick and feels luxurious. Pencil marks erase easily. Alcohol markers hardly bleed to other side. But if they did the journals have a nice clear sheet to prevent that. The cover texture looks expensive. I have actual expensive journals that are not this nice. Delighted by the price point and excellent quality.

An absolute must if you use alcohol markers or archival ink mediums!
I am trying to establish a drawing routine with markers and I needed a sketchbook that could work with my alcohol markers. This sketchbook delivers! The hard cover is shiny and durable. The paper is thick enough for the markers and the colors appear vividly on the page. But beware! This is for alcohol markers, acrylic markers, fine-liners, and ink. WATER MARKERS WILL NOT WORK AND WILL PILL THE PAGE. ALCOHOL OR ARCHIVAL INK ONLY

Pages do Bleed, but Not Severely
Ohuhu is one of the brands I will always be loyal to. They have yet to let me down, and Iโve needed a new sketchbook for a while. Being bleed resistant for alcohol markers is a plus, since it is my main media. However, as other reviews state, the pages are not 100% alcohol marker proof. They are definitely resistant, but using alcohol markers on a page will more than likely render the other side unusable/difficult to use. I scribbled with Ohuhu markers on a page I tore out to test the bleed resistance, and with the pink you can see I did 1 stroke, then up to 5. With the black, I just scribbled in a circle for around 10-15 seconds. The pink didnโt bleed through until 5 strokes, and it was super mild. The black definitely bled a lot more, though. While it didnโt touch the other paper too noticeably, you can see that the backside of the page I drew on has a good amount of bleed. If you blend your alcohol markers you know you need multiple strokes, and this can quickly lead to a 30-page notebook only having room for 30 drawings, instead of 60 like I had hoped. The paper quality is great though. It feels nice, itโs smooth, and has good weight. Feels nice to write and draw on, with little to no resistance against graphite and pens. I have not tested watercolor or acrylics on the paper yet though, so I do not know how it stands up to those medias. Also, I kinda hated the texture of the cover. Minor complaint, but it was weirdly textured with a ton of small lines, and an almost vinyl/plastic feel to it. I covered it in stickers to negate the texture, which was easy enough, but I wish it had not been textured, or was more mildly textured. But again, thatโs a minor complaint, and very person-to-person.

Actual Review with Pros and Cons
I purchased this because it was something I always wanted. Why carry around pages of blending paper if it can be in one package. I needed a book for my guilty pleasure in redrawing/"referencing" artworks while my stand alone A4 for original pieces. Small rant: a lot of low star reviews think it's bleeding to the back of the page is avoidable, either they have only used the most expensive paper in the world or not experience enough with markers. I use Copic Marker Express Blending card and it still shows on the other side. It'll bleed through because at the end of the day it's a liquid on paper. But I haven't noticed major bleeding then again I'm not using this paper for professional work with layers upon layers of blending which is doable just use the plastic to make sure it doesn't get on the next page. TLDR: Exactly what you expect it would be if you have realistic expectations. Edit: A lot of people are complaining about the Ohuhu markers on the page and so I purchased myself a 48 pack and tested it out myself. The nerdy joker character being colored with the ohuhu and it would've bled through the paper onto the next page if I didn't use the plastic sheet. But this is me laying 5+ layers on certain areas and only those areas showed signs of bleeding onto the next page. I don't notice any significant streakiness that others claim or tear. It does what it's supposed to do and works perfectly fine with Ohuhu and Copic Sketch markers Pros: -Includes a plastic sheet to guarantee no bleed onto another page -Actually blends the marker well with surprising less bleed than I thought. - Fair price Cons: -Not actually A4 size. It has the A4 dimensions but they have a pre-cut nudge which means you're losing some of the paper and it's taller than A4(image above) despite marketing the dimensions of A4 which is misleading if I were to put any of them in a frame or something in the future. -Not really a con, more like expected it's heavy. I would not carry this around since it weights as much as a light laptop. So not really portable - Found that pencil were more visible even after erasing -Pens took a little bit longer to dry/set

Love!
Great for a lot of mediums. Use page behind it when using heavier mediums like alcohol markers. Smooth texture and looks sleek and also perfect size.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this sketchbook
Extremely well crafted. Just holding it- if you love blank books- is an impressive experience. Pleasantly heavy with very thick, excellent quality sketch paper. I bought this specifically to use with the same brand (Ohuhu) markers, and there's only subtle bleed through to the other side of the page, but when you use the included plastic page protector, the bleed through doesn't actually reach the next page. I also use the permanent Sharpie markers in these books, and those do well with the protector, too. I have a couple sizes of these books, and the plastic protector is sized for each book. The binding is sewn and very tough, but the book opens flat. The bookmark is the right thickness to be able to grab easily when you need it and ignore when you don't- also, it seems to be just the right length, too, as most bookmarks are usually too short and you have to fight to grab them (personal pet peeve). These are a little expensive for what I usually like to spend, but they are worth every penny. These would last a lifetime.

Great for Acrylic Markers!
I purchased these pads for my acrylic markers and I am very happy with the results so far. Just finished my first page and no bleed through with acrylic markers, which means I can use the back side of the sheet too. Minimal paper warping as well which helps with wanting to use the back side. These books are heavy, and well constructed with a nice smooth paper texture which helps to not destroy my marker nibs. Canโt wait to try my alcohol markers on them next, but those expect to bleed through.

Go for it. ๐
If ur gonna gift this to an artist their gonna be jumping in excitement because i did as my mom gifted this for my birthday......it is an absolute pleasure to have this in my hands. If ur buying a sketchbook go for it, it is absolutely amazing and necessary. My mom's money was incredibly worth it and it is damn suitable for beginners, but I'm not sure about absolute beginners, anyway if u know more about blending, shading etc.....it is 200gsm which makes it bleed proof....lastly about the paper quality it is AMAZING i mean they itself is providing a bleed proof sheet to help us. Thanks ohuhu for this amazing sketchbook. This is my second sketchbook but i wish it was my first......๐ค

Ordered a second book within an hour of opening the first one!
Excellent quality paper, true 200gsm, with sturdy black textured cover. I road tested Copic markers, only the black markers very faintly showed on the reverse side. I was so happy with this book that I ordered a second one. I am not colouring directly onto the pages, I am using the book to paste coloured pencil drawings and watercolour pages into.
