I just wanted to come back and let anyone know who isn't sure that this works well for an electric or acoustic 6-string guitar. I was unsure when I purchased this how it worked and if it would also work for standard (EADGBE) guitars. The problem was that, when I asked Amazon's wonderful AI assistant "Rufus" if it would work on a six-string electric guitar, it answered with -- and this is verbatim: "No, this tuner is specifically designed for cellos and basses." (see image) Can you believe that? Do these companies realize they're using so-called "intelligence" that is driving away sales? It's pretty wild, eh? Anyway, rest assured that if you're looking for a low-cost reliable tuner that you can use for an electric or acoustic six-string guitar, this will do the job and well. Here are some highlights of this tuner: -Color display with fairly bright readout, especially in darker environments -Responsive readout of frequency/tune -I have calibrated this against another known and very accurate tuner and this one is fairly accurate as well. So if you're looking for a decent clip-on tuner and aren't sure if you want to pull the trigger on this, be assured that this will work with guitar.

Bright easy to read screen, and the scale is clearly graduated to allow precise tuning. It works better than the Fender and Boss units I’ve used in the past. Highly recommended

You cannot place it close to the instrument, it HAS TO BE ON THE INSTRUMENT. CLIPPED ON. PHYSICAL CONTACT! I press the "on" and read my strings... very easy to use. I don't bother turning it off , it does that by itself. It is so small that I never take it off; it is always on my bridge. Despite the convenient small size, the Screen is Large and in Colour. It is Easy to read. I love it, it is just lovely!

Best clip on tuner I have owned, and over the years I have owned plenty. It is designed for double bass and fits nicely on the bridge. The screen is large and easy to read and tuning is accurate.

Works great on my upright bass. Even handles the low E. Wish the display was a little but brighter, though.

Works, a bit slow but works.

Great tuner. Fired it up. Played an E, showed E in tune. Played an A, showed an E in tune, Played a D, showed an E in tune. Played a G, showed an E in tune. I try 8 different places on the bass. Same. Turn it off and on 3 times. Find the manual, no insight. Look closely at the tuner. Peel off the opaque plastic sticker on the face of the tuner that is pre-printed with the way the display looks when tuning an E. Tried again - whaddya know, E, A, D, G. I guess they didn’t count on having a drummer buy one of these things. Duh.

OK - this was dead cheap - a tenner or so. I've been getting really frustrated with by guitar clip-on tuner, as it never recognised the low E from my any of my basses, and even the A stings on one of the basses was a challenge. So - even though this is supposed to be for cello/double-bass (clipped to the bridge on those instruments) it works EXCEPTIONALLY well, clipped to the headstock of my electric bass. Best tuner I everbought!

Ich benutze seit Jahren verschiedene Versionen des PitchClip von Korg. Für die Stimmung von Kontrabass (PC 2 auch mit verschiedenen Kammertönen) sind sie nur eingeschränkt nutzbar. Der Stimmer von Daddario löst aber alle Probleme. Er ist zwar etwas weniger kompakt, dafür ist die Stimmgenauigkeit ausgezeichnet und er hat einen schnellen Zugriff auf die Kalibrierung: Für E-Bass und Kontrabass die perfekte Lösung.

Great tuner, works well

The tuner picks up bass frequencies quite well. Even in a noisy room. Regular tuners take time to pick up the lower notes, but not this one.
