Piece of junk
Was probably a refurbished one, didn't work at all, waste of time

Tilt the controls end DOWN in use.
It's a solid hydraulic pump and cylinder. I had trouble with lifting due to pulling air into the pump; tjatbwas begore I opened it... It's important to know that there is no dip tube. So, if you have a choice, tilt the controls end down! For all the folks wondering how to get it -open-, unscrew the yellow barrel from the controls end. It's O-ring sealed. I kind of like the strainer, but it will barely work down to half way full! The suction port really should have been drilled MUCH closer to the bottom edge. No leaks so far! I modified mine with a dip tube while I had it open.

No side loads allowed
Will only work in a perfectly straight push, any side load will not allow jack to retract.
