Can a toddler "pump" it by himself?

Yes if they are super coordinated. It takes some work.

Does the gun make noise? Is it loud?

It’s an air popper gun….not very loud at all.

Could you use regular sized marshmallows instead of balls

My guess would be no unless they were dried up and hard
