Expensive, But Worth Every Penny - Protected Our Ice Machine for 8 Years
If you own a commercial ice machine, especially a Hoshizaki, I consider this water filter a must-have investment. We installed this filter on our Hoshizaki ice machine when it was new about eight years ago. The machine produces approximately 250 pounds of ice per day, and despite the heavy use, it continues to perform remarkably well. I firmly believe this filter has played a major role in that longevity. One of the biggest benefits has been the reduction in scale buildup and mineral deposits. By improving water quality before it reaches the machine, this filter has helped minimize the need for frequent evaporator cleaning and maintenance. Over the years, our machine has continued producing clean, consistent ice and has operated much like it did when it was first installed. Recently, I noticed the ice cubes were becoming smaller and the machine seemed to be running longer than normal. After checking the filter, it was clear that it had finally reached the end of its service life. Once I installed a new cartridge, the difference was immediate. Ice cube size returned to normal, production improved, and the machine was back to operating like new. Yes, these filters are expensive compared to many standard water filters. However, when I consider how much ice we produce, how well the machine has been protected, and the fact that this filter provided years of service before needing replacement, I consider it money well spent. For anyone serious about protecting their ice machine investment and maintaining consistent ice production, this filter is an excellent choice.

Nipple diameter
The diameter of the nipple on the top of the water filter is not the same size as the original and therefore the water will not pass through and build up pressure on the machine.
