FULI Japanese Futon Mattress (Queen)

As on their product page it really does take days to deflate and feel like a proper mattress. I initially felt no padding and there were noticeable creases where the product came folded for shipping, but they all corrected by around end of day two. I experienced no unpleasant odors at all even on initial unpacking. Value for money for me is lower compared to their regular lineup.

I purchased this premium mattress with high expectations because the packaging and outer appearance looked excellent. However, when I opened the mattress, there was an extremely strong odor coming from inside. The smell quickly spread throughout my entire home and became unbearable. Due to the intensity of the odor, I was unable to keep the mattress inside and had to dispose of it. What disappointed me even more was the inconsistent customer service experience. When I first contacted Amazon support, I was informed that a refund had been approved and that I would receive it within 3–4 business days. However, when I followed up after that period, I was told that I must return the product to receive a refund. Had I been clearly informed of this requirement from the beginning, I would have kept the mattress available for return instead of disposing of it because of the odor. The product appearance was good, but the strong smell and the conflicting information from customer support resulted in a very frustrating experience.
